These guys came up short at the end, but they’re going to be more than just fine. Blazer5 Gaming put on a dominant display throughout, taking an unblemished record into the final. Even there they dug out of an early 23-point hole to put a scare into their brethren from Philly. Point guard Mama Im Dat Man was among the steadiest at his position during the tournament. He received plenty of support from OneWildWalnut and Dat Boy Shotz, a frontcourt tandem that opposing teams simply struggled to contain.

It's game day!! 2K league regular season kicks off this afternoon at 4pm, with the Blazers playing the Magic at 6.

Gotta refresh y'all on this. After the first 4 weeks of the regular season, Blazer5Gaming is undefeated at 4-0, and is the top seed heading into this weekend's mid-season one-and-done tourney. They play at 1pm (probably tipping at around 1:20) against the winner of the play-in game going on right now between Pacers gaming (0-4) and Raptors Uprising (1-5). Check it out on Twitch--not a bad way to kill an afternoon.

Looks like Raptors Uprising has pretty well got this first game locked up, setting up a rematch of Blazer5's last game (a 69-66 OT victory last Saturday). Despite an ugly early record, this first matchup will be no cakewalk. Kenny will be a tough matchup for B5 point guard Mama_Im_Dat_Man, and their center Jusuf Scarbz is going to be a beast for our pivot OneWildWalnut. As long as Dat Boy Shotz puts up his usual 23 & 8 for us from the PF spot, we should probably be OK, but in a one-and-done format, nothing is ever guaranteed.

I kind of hate how much emphasis they put in virtual currency, especially with 3 kids while I can afford to put money into it I want to, that money is so much better spent on my kids... At least in career mode they made it take so freaking long to get anywhere. The simulation stuff in 2k is still awesome though.
