Rip City not only has the league's best team, but also the best player, as our center and top draft pick won the league MVP and DPOY last night.

watched a little bit of this on twitch the other day.
The 'play by play announcers' if you can even call them that. Were saying how good of a chance NYKG had of knocking off Blazer5.
I just laughed and turned it off as I know nothing about this stuff.

I didn't follow this super closely. Do they draft a brand new team each year? If so, I think that is lame. It would be much better to make slight changes in the off-season like in real life but have your foundation guys back every year.

Teams were able to protect two of their 6 players for the expansion draft. Then they could use as many as two of their four draft picks to retain other players they wanted to keep.

Blazer5Gaming protected their PG and C, then lost their PF in the expansion draft. They then traded their first round pick for the rights to a player from Milwaukee, and spent their third round pick to retain their SF.

Some teams only had one player carried over from last year, some as many as four.

I see, that makes more sense. Thanks for the explanation! How many new teams were added?

There were four expansion teams--Atlanta, Brooklyn, Los Angeles, and Minnesota. Atlanta was the one who took Portland's PF in the expansion draft.

Went back and checked on last night's draft, and saw that with their second pick, Blazer5gaming took one of the guys they hadn't retained from last year. So all in all, they have 4 holdovers from the 6 players on last year's team...probably the most continuity of any squad. This after a strong regular season, but an early exit from the playoffs.

Sound familiar?
