Notice Trail Blazers and guard Anthony Morrow agreed to a one-year, non-guaranteed deal

At some point players get old and dinged up and don't perform like they did during the other eight and a half years of their career. It remains to be seen if last season truly was an outlier. That said, I think shooting is one of the last things to go, barring physical troubles.

Victor Oladipo had his best 3pt shooting year for OKC last season playing alongside Westbrook at Morrow's position. FWIW.

That's a result of his offseason work. Not OKC's offense.

Easier to get in rhythm when you're starting, but this convo is stupid. Players don't just forget how to shoot. Any shooter can have a down year. Even Reggie Miller had a couple down seasons and that's arguably the greatest to ever do it.

The offense didn't hurt his 3pt shooting.

Because, as I said previously, Oladipo is not a catch and shoot only, rhythm shooter like Morrow or Crabbe. He is capable and comfortable creating his own shot and shooting of the dribble.

Guys like Morrow and Crabbe get 95% of their made 3-pointers by catching the ball with their feet set and their shoulders square to the basket. They rely on their teammates to deliver them the ball and are not capable of creating their own shot or shooting off the dribble. Neither would thrive in a system reliant one player creating chaos. They shoot far better in a system that involves all five players moving the ball to the open teammate.

Durant did fine from 3pt next to Westbrook as well. Morrow shot .387 two seasons ago next to Westbrook.

Yep, that was when they actually played more of a team oriented game that didn't rely on one player dominating the ball - other than during the 4th quarter of close games when Russ tended to resort to hero ball.

Last year, with Durant gone, it was hero ball for Russ all game long, starting with the opening tip off.

Anthony Morrow shot just over 28% on wide open 3's last year. You can argue that the personnel/system played a part in that, but he still clearly had a down year shooting the ball.

I dont think you have to be obsessed to be able to dig on crabbe at any time, dude made 19 mil last year and played like Anthony Morrow.

No team, not even BKN, wants Morrow to be their starting SG.

I also doubt Morrow gets close to the minutes we gave Crabbe.

Someone has to fill in for Crabbe....and Connaughton. Maybe one of these 3 SG-ish players will get a shot.

I dont think Crabbe will start for BKN next year, hell, I dont think he would have even started for them last year.

They didn't offer the big contract to have him be a sub on a bad team.

tell me who he starts over then choices are Jeremy Lin, Deangelo Russel, Demare Carroll, and Rodae Hollis-Jefferson. All of those guys are without question better than AC and play at least some time at his positions(2-3). The idea that he is just going to be able to come in and win a starting job from RHJ or DeAngelo Russel or Lin is laughable. I get that they paid him a ton of money but he wont start. You can take that to the bank.

DeMarre Carroll and his 11.9 PER, 8.9 PPG, and .400 FG%.

Demare Carroll.
BKN has said they want to play Carroll at the 4 not RHJ so, shocker, ESPN probably doesnt have this right. Plus Trevor Booker is their best 4 man, and Crabbe's best position is the 2 guard. I get that money wise he is getting paid like an above average starter and that means there will be pressure to start him but he plays like an average bench player. That will get figured out very quickly and he will struggle to find shots even more with DeAngelo and Lin running the offense, than he ever did with Dame and CJ.

i love how as soon as one of our scrubs gets overpaid and leaves they are suddenly a superstar. i hate the media

It sure looks like they want to start him, regardless of how fans of his former team feel about him.

Without question? Um...I question. I most definitely question.

I agree that Booker is their starting 4, and another guy who should play a lot for them this coming year is Caris Levert.

If I'm coaching them, my rotation looks more like this:
PG: Russell/Lin
SG: Crabbe/Harris
SF: Jefferson/Levert
PF: Booker/Carroll
C: Mosgov/Allen (Allen probably starts by midseason

k judging solely off of what? an espn diagram? do you actually have something other than your own opinion? I doubt it.
