I'm pretty scared of them getting our team. They are up and coming as the #73 ranked US media market. I'd be happy for the state though. When I went to Nebraska I met people whose dream it was to move to the West Coast. They deserve it.

Just think, if Jody had done the right thing and gave the team away to Phil Knight for 2 billion less, we wouldn't have to see the Omaha Blazers!

I guess I disagree with you on the comment only being in relation to the March meeting.



I'm not saying it will never ever ever ever be on the table. But it seems kinda weird to me to come away with that comment only being in relation to a March meeting they aren't even gonna have a vote for and will center around continuing to explore expansion.

Again, doesn't mean it can't change in the future. But I highly doubt it changes in say April. The Oregon legislature session will have ended by then so we will also know how that plays out.

Its a pretty strong statement to me that Silver is much more focused on expansion than letting other teams move around.

Hmm, I’m not sure it’s a massively ambiguous term: how would you interpret the line “on the table?” I interpret that line as ‘something that is scheduled to be discussed and potentially decided upon’. In this case, with the group he serves, the owners. Silver said they have discussed expansion at the past couple of media availabilities as a new point of conversation at BoG meetings, for example. Previously they were talking Europe.

Not sure where you got that I was implying the team would relocate any time soon? He’s literally just saying they’re not talking about it now; that could change at any point in the future. I’ll stop short of projecting my hopes and dreams on that singular comment.

People on other channels are taking that quote out of context as some sort of indication that all is well, etc. A ton of things could change in the future, as we all know, and we’re at the beginning of this entire thing.

I think it is a huge indicator that Silver has no plans to pursue relocation. His focus is obviously on expansion. Lots of the pants pooping came from Silvers previous words on Moda needing upgrades.
