How did the NBA as a whole get better?

San Antonio, OKC, Clippers stayed the same (pretty much).

Houston got worse, Dallas unknown, Minnesota worse, Denver so-so, Utah so-so, Memphis might be better (lack of injuries), but...who exactly got significantly better in the western conference?

The top 5 teams are probably Spurs, Thunder, Clippers, Warriors and Blazers. And it's not a given that the Warriors will be better than Portland (nor is it a given the Blazers would be better).

Still get to learn a lot if you know what to look for. For instance you can see how much T-Rob has improved his defense. Getting to guard the best PF in the league every day really helps him improve that. Patty mills took a huge Step by getting that time to learn from and guard Tony parker.

I don't think there is a character on this squad I don't like. I feel their love for each other is genuine. And I think Neil keeping them together will prove to be a very positive thing for them in the long run. Think it's going to be an interesting and fun season.

Who cares about that male model, he isn't even as good as Batum.

Dallas is better, Houston is about the same (I think Papanikolaou will be great for them), Clippers are better, Lakers are DEFINITELY better, Phoenix should be better, Pelicans could be a LOT better. So yes, the West is better.
