Trail Blazers Set Multi-Million Dollar Makeover For Rose Quarter

People who care about basketball care about the team, new stadiums attract a lot more casual fans to the arena because it is new fancy or the cool place to hang out. Just look how packed the Marlins stadium was, people in Miami went there cause it was the new hot spot not because they care about the team.

That link just spammed out my computer. I had new windows opening faster than I could close them. :dunno:

"My team spent millions renovating the arena, and I'll I got was this lousy new place to buy a tshirt"

The club seats were awesome while you could not get free alcohol the all you could eat food and soda made the price worth it. A burger, a hot dog and 2 sodas later you pretty much paid for the upgrade.

I have to reiterate, do you ever not complain about things?

Think of this as better for your health. If you were drinking $20+ worth of soda in 3 hour period, you've got some issues.

$30/person seems more than reasonable to me-- even with the inflated arena food prices.

$30 on food, beverages and merchandise. Am assuming it's just $30 gift card every time. So instead of the food there, you can get a hot dog and a couple of beers if you want. Also can combine them, I am guessing, and get a new replica jersey like every other game or a new shirt or something. I've only sat there once, but I think I'd prefer the voucher system personally.

Except it is pay 20 dollars to get 30 not get 30 free with these seats that used to offer free food.

Hopefully it is a gift card and not a voucher that is only valid for that particular game. Even then the 30 for 20 bucks does not make paying for club seats worth the additional price. Especially when you consider the in stadium inflation.

The all you can eat buffet along with free concessions of popcorn, nuts candy ect is fun every once in a while, but nothing I would want to buy season tickets or group of tickets for. The food gets tiresome after a few times and and there isn't any special feel to the seats. It wasn't well regulated and often others from the 200 level would sneak in and get food which made me wonder why I even paid more for the tickets.

I heard others have the same complaints. $30 doesn't sound like a lot, but personally I'm not going to miss the buffet.

They get boned bad not only do they lose the chefs table, it is 20 bucks more per ticket to get the 30 dollar food credit. 16 million dollar investment was a ruse to raise ticket prices and screw the fans. Especially since we know that most of that investment is coming directly from the Moda Center naming rights and not from Paul Allen's pocket.

Fuck you Paul Allen.

lol . . . Paul Allen had as much to do with that decision as he does with who the Blazer dancers are.
