I use to hate on baseball players for not being real athletes. then I went to a batting cage with 30mph balls. This should be nothing I thought. 30 mph was fucking hard. I then thought holy shit 90-100mph must be insane. the amount of skill just to hit the fucking thing is incredible, let alone the ability to throw it. I still don't enjoy baseball, but I respect the athletes as being talented now.

You probably just suck at baseball. I haven't played baseball since 5th grade but I went to a batting cage recently I was able to hit 75 mph balls.

If I open the window, I can hit a baseball passing me at 65 mph while I'm on the freeway.

You know what, Those defense only players in football only play ON DEFENSE...lazy bums. Baseball players do BOTH.

But, lets ignore that fact, right? lol.
Yeah, except they only move about 5 or so times a game on defense, and bat 3 or so times a game on offense. A defensive player has to move every single play and that not only involves running, it involves cutting and physicality, neither of which are present in baseball.

I would say that Baseball requires the least amount of athleticism to succeed of all the major sports, however, it requires the best eye/hand coordination of all the major sports to succeed.

Good. Cancel that shit and PM me what you are looking for. :) OR text me. I am sure I can hook you up for better than the generic public rates.

okay. I see. Its free, but you still have to print out tickets I guess?
I have a bit of a different thing to do being a season ticket holder. Sorry.

This. A professional baseball player has to be extremely proficient at a few very specific skills, and have a certain type of strength and muscle memory. What Bones keeps referring to is that there is literally so very little actual physical movement involved in the course of a game, some people, like my wife, don't even consider it a sport. But if throwing darts is a sport, I suppose baseball is too. :)

I don't know if anybody's mentioned it but Wells Fargo just got in a shit load of trouble....but the fan fest should survive it...hope all who attend have a great time

Because t-ball is an accurate representation of what baseball really is.

That's like saying BGD is a good representation of what S2 posters are. ;)

Sorry, BGD, I love you.

I had the thought of oh it will get better when I play "REAL" ball, so I held out and played till that too.
LAME
waist of my time

I know it's hard accepting truth. You'll come around eventually.
Thank you for defending the baseball flag Stren! But take it from an old man who has given up trying to reason with the haters. In an odd twist, I've found that those who find baseball the most boring usually (but not always) think that sitting and watching cars go around in endless circles to be an actual "sport"!!! And even find it entertaining!!??! How can you reason with THAT mentality?? We're dealing with pagans Stren. I'm just glad to know there are fans like us that can appreciate the thinking man's game......

They got busted for borrowing your savings to invest and replacing it after they've made a profit from your money...without earning you a dime...it was on the news a couple of days ago.

And those who say it's too slow, too... Football has the same, if not more, breaks as baseball. It just has a clock to tell you when it's over... baseball is beautiful in that the humans decide when it's over. The real way a sport should be. Baseball is the true cerebral sport. Beautiful in it's simplicity as it is with it's complexity.

Baseball is one of the best team sports there is! It's a great sport...for the thinking fan, it's one of the best. Football has completely lost me. takes 20 minutes to run a 3 second play. Takes a small army to play it...quarterbacks have their game plans told to them through headsets...football is the slowest game on the planet. It's a coaches game...refs get more camera time than players do.

That's why it's so ironic people think baseball is slow. It takes, on average 30 seconds between pitches, when the playclock between plays in football is 35 seconds? And its almost always used (except in Oregon's case, and others who have emulated it) to the last second... So ironic.
