I hope this is setting up a big move, but I'm not ruling out the possibility ownership is simply being cheap and making the front office decide between the Rupert and the 2-way guys or Watford.

He's over 7' ..good shot blocker and good 3 pt shooter. I think he's a big they're bringing along slowly that will be better each year..we'll see. Needs to bulk up. His shooting makes him able to play the 4.

What a pathetic management and pathetic decision. The guy was MVP of summer league a year ago. I wouldn't be surprised if Lame the GM is behind this

I wouldn't blindly put my faith to anyone except Jesus.

What has Cronin done to warrant putting my faith with him? Now draft picks I'll give him that and basically am with the Murray/Rupert picks. But trades and free agency signing? I have justifiably no reason to put faith with Cronin and he needs to earn some faith by making good moves first. If anything I'd say he deserves to have all his trades and signings further questioned, as the majority of them have been poor moves.

Plus the whole cheap Vulcan/Jody dynamic, which this move screams of.
 
Hey SharpesT -- I agree like I said we could get something good or we could get crap out of this but the fact he is clearing space for something shows a very very small sign of hope but that hope could turn to dread if Cronin does something stupid.

Watford is certainly better (and bigger) than most or all of those, but his contract was non-guaranteed for the most part. Walker could find himself in the same situation....accept he is a Cronin/Schmitz guy where Watford wasn't. (Walker's guaranteed salary date is in about a month.)

Since the Blazers offered Badji and Butler QA's, does that take them off the 2-way list? Can someone confirm that?

Technically he isn't. We extended the qualifying offer to JBJ and Badji. They're RFAs.

Last year there were 4 players on the roster that through really good alley-oop passes to Sharpe. 3 Of them (GP2, Hart, Trendon) are no longer on the roster and the 4th (Winslow) is not necessarily going to be either.

Hope Scoot can throw a good alley-oop pass..
