NATO thing is interesting. The comfort of US protection has enabled Europe to pretty much disarm and go full socialist. If Germans had to start mandatory military service again, it could restore a German first vs euro first mindset. Ultimately I think that would be better given the state of Iran and other radical Muslim countries and a resurgent Russia. Strategically we could benefit from what seems like ramblings a buffoon.

Now the question is, has he thought this all out?

Watch the Democrat convention where unlike the GOP convention every single speaker will either say good things about Hillary, and/or outright endorse her.

Jeb Bush, his dopey brother and father showed their colors....lol, Trump is better off without those clowns...

Gingrich, in his speech, called Cruz out by saying "Ted Cruz wants you to vote for the person who will uphold the Constitution, we'll theres only one choice, the Trump Pence ticket" because Hillary didn't!

The rest, who were against Trump only a month ago are now sucking up to him...and I would not be surprised that the very people who are now chastising Cruz for having the gall to say "fuck you" to Trump will be swearing that they were cheering for Ted in a few years from now.

...if Trump had not been such a total dick towards people during the campaign things like this wouldn't happen...the personal attacks by Trump towards not only Cruz himself but also towards his wife and his Father, had no place in politics and they crossed the line...if I were Ted I wouldn't forgive Trump either...GOP be damned.

Cruz is and always had been a doosh....and the people will remember when or if the time comes and he thinks he is going to ride in on a white horse. He committed political suicide with that speech at the convention. He showed what a phony shmuck he is and why he is hated in the house AND the majority of THE TEXAS DELEGATION who booed him today at a press conference and wanted him to AT LEAST say help defeat Hillary without even having to say the word "Trump".
He got whipped in the primaries AND during roll call at the Convention and that was the voice of the people.

In my opinion Cruz committed political suicide. You sign a form to back your party, its been a practice forever, what this sore loser did was betray his own party. IMO, he'll never be trusted again. even by his own.

Yeah that's what lefties and Rhinos want you to believe. He could have spun the convention into absolute chaos but he didn't. And frankly he did what the folks in TX hired him to do, represent them and the Constitution no matter what. Successful or not for Trump, Cruz comes out ahead. Dems are gonna win back the Senate and Trump is gonna need someone with balls to challenge Shumer if he wins. Heck Cruz could be the deciding vote whether or not to file articles of impeachment.

If trump loses, than Cruz is the only guy not to felate bozo.

...while Cruz did take the road less traveled, I don't think it was political suicide...especially since he can now sit back and play the "I told you so" card when the opportunity rises, and especially if/when Trump/Clinton screw the pooch. Ted was not the most popular guy in the senate anyway, but he's got at least 4 years to mend fences and position himself for 2020.
