...to be fair, the ruling of the Hawaiian judge is based on and backed up by law...personal feelings in this case can neither be proved nor disproved. And though his ruling may be a subject for debate I think it's no stretch to believe that the judge certainly has more knowledge and a better overall understanding of the law and the Constitution than Trump does.

...I'm by no means disputing that Trump's intentions may be correct in principle, but thus far almost all of his directives have been poorly thought out. This comes from his complete ignorance of how our government works. He has also done himself no favor by bashing judges, the media, and for that matter, anyone who questions him.

...sorry, but the man has no leadership skills whatsoever.

His actions & body language,,,,,,,,,,,,,,forget his limited language and double talk,,,,,,,,,,,,,were so demeaning toward Merkel. This person spins everything directed toward him. I find he would rather blame anyone but himself, whether it be for his words or his actions.
He will never put his name to anything.,,,,,,,,,for example, "Do not put Trumpcare to the 'new' health care bill". The guy is spineless. He's a detriment to the USA. The man never finished a damn thing, but coming from NYC, he sued and kept suing others and he would never ensue a project unless he was backed by other people's money and he did not care if the project failed as long as he could walk away unscathed. This is how he will diminish America.......very scary individual.

He has a problem, one of many, with a powerful woman......his feeble handshake says
he does not like women in power,,,,,,,she's a threat. What's astonishing he takes the
threat very personal.........an example of childish immaturity. He was down right very rude
to her. No wonder Putin wanted this person as POTUS!!!!! The world is mocking him and no one is laughing.

...just watched the Merkel/Trump news conference....what an embarrassment.

***1- takes zero responsibility for his fk ups, yet in his eyes, he's incapable of fkng up, he's perfect, knows more than anyone on anything; which was his one and only constant during the campaigns. I for one got sick of hearing how he was an expert on matters, issues of which he couldn't even spell or speak adeptly on....ntm- his unprofessional mocking of other candidates below the belt, like the one he laid half the GOP candidates, during the debates.

***2-
ntm- the billions he's taken in NYC/NJ, taxpayers monies, ie a social pariah or piranha... Trump tower would of never been built without taxpayer $$$, while the good folks of NJ, paid for his Atlantic City bankruptcies, his failed businesses a consistent recurring theme, ntm- his USFL Fiasco-boondoggle....leaving all holding their money bags, after a broken lie of a promise to the USFL Owners and League itself.

There are other things going on with this Merkel meeting. He got her to pledge increasing German defense spending, this is very controversial here in Germany. Basically he pushed her to the right but that hurts her at home because she's going to need the alt left to form a coalition post election.

We can parse the method, but the results are actually a net benefit for the US. As the Germans are fond of saying, let's not throw the babies out with the bath water.

...lol...I guess that's your way of convincing yourself that you are looking at the big picture, so if that somehow helps you to sleep better I'm happy for you.

...blame it on the media all you want but the fact is that words do have consequences and Trump has brought his woes all on himself. And the more he shoots his mouth off on Twitter the more bombastic he appears and the less credibility he has...and the sad thing is that he doesn't even realize he's done anything wrong and staunchly refuses to acknowledge it and/or apologize for it.

...in the meantime, the country is paying for it because the time and money and energy spent on senseless trivial things could be much better served by concentrating on the real issues that matter. Just as an example, his latest "wiretapping" BS has metastasized and is now going global and is neither helping him at home nor abroad. And when he does try to get pertinent and important legislation enacted these sorts of things are hamstringing his well intended efforts that are paramount to this country and makes our government much less efficient than it could/should be.

What amazes me more are the so called smartest people in the US in San Fran that keep electing her.

un-fkng-believable isn't it???

After a trip to SF, I guess it isn't a surprise......... people still wear Wizard Suits on Haight or Ashbury; and are actually entitled to have a vote.

Shouldn't one be able to pass a 1st grade "reality check" before passing out voter registration....? Even if one's feet (only) are on this planet, but their minds are not-?

...Comey has just testified that there is "NO INFO SUPPORTING TRUMP WIRETAP CLAIMS"...now Trump needs to apologize and just stop with his petty BS and childishly paranoid Tweets and comments and focus on real issues.
...I mean geeez, Trump acts as if he's still campaigning for POTUS...newsflash, Donald, you won...now get on with the job you were elected to do.

...as I've said before, Sean Spicer's head has got to be near the point of exploding.

Isn't Comey the same clown that said after all the CRIMINAL stuff they found out about clinton with the server and the classified info hacked all over the place would not be prosecutable?? While a ton of AG's said they would not only prosecute it they would get a conviction without too much problem. Comey is not believable and since he won't resign should be fired for incompetence. He is an embarrassment

lol...well, Sean Spicer just reiterated that Trump still has the utmost confidence in James Comey. And as Comey said, the FBI is not the only organization that has found "no evidence of wiretapping"...the DOJ had the same findings.

...and where are all these AGs now?...they don't need Comey to prosecute Clinton or anyone else for that matter....Trump is the embarrassment here, and he has repeatedly brought it all on himself.

...watching and listening to Neil Gorsuch at his confirmation hearing...very impressive individual. It's a shame that this guy is not our POTUS in lieu of the 2 miserable choices we were given in November.

Gorsuch is what all judges should be like.

...Tote, unfortunately, that would require that our elected leaders actually exhibit some sort of common sense and rationale for a change.

....you gotta keep in mind that it's our dysfunctional House of Representatives and Senate that ultimately confirm/deny these judges.

...fwiw, tomorrow is a very pivotal day for Trump. Though I'm vehemently opposed to the GOP health care bill as it was initially introduced, if enough changes can be made to satisfy the Reps enough to pass the bill it will make Trump's other goals much easier to get through the House and Senate. Whether I'll be OK with it, we'll see.

...if on the other hand, the bill fails tomorrow, he's got a huge uphill battle....and his lapdog Paul Ryan will be made the fall guy.

...and oh, IMO, Devin Nunes just stepped on his dick.

...our government is fucked up, from top to bottom.

...goddamn GOP...on Trump's instructions Ryan is pulling the bill...these m-fuckers could not agree on the color of shit even if they had to.

...epic fail.

^^^ the only thing these m-fkrs understand is $$$, but agree on it's color?? Like ya' pointed out, they don't get: if it looks like shit, smells like shit, then there's no need to taste it- yet so many have their faces smeared in it...! Next thing ya' know Trump will be insisting, even threatening all to dye their hair orange; get orange tan spray, or they too will be fired- (lmao).......

hard to believe this nation is so splintered in all respects of govt. and society in general, (on 2nd thought, no it's not hard to believe).
Our entire political process has been raped, by big $$$ special interests buying a POTUS, while the Voter's were given a choice b/t a Felonious crooked lying bitch; or a flaming arrogant pompous know it all peacock, for a job neither were qualified for...

odd how those who proclaim to know it all, or be best at everything, usually are the very one's who are most intellectually bankrupt...

...^^^not to mention that as usual, he puts the blame on someone else, and this time he blames the democrats...unreal.

...this defeat, along with the other distractions currently tailing him, eats away at Trump's credibility and may hamstring him going forward as he tries to get the rest of his agenda through the House and Senate.

...but the real problem for the GOP is that unless they can find a way to uphold their promise to totally repeal Obamacare the moderates may very well be voted out of office in the mid-term elections which could possibly tilt the scales in the other direction and result in the Dems taking over both Houses once again...this could mean that Nancy fucking Pelosi could be reinstated as the Speaker of the House...Trump would be completely screwed.

COBRA has been and always will be a fkng joke ...!!!

When I retired in 04, a good friend and co-worker was going out on the DL, or a temporary leave of absence; which we all knew would be a permanent or very long term LOA. The company policy for a LOA salary employee, allows for personnel to remain covered under the Health Insurance, and receive 100% of their weekly pay, with a minor adjustment in reducing ones pay after 6 mos, until their pay equals 60% of their weekly total. After one year, if one cannot come back to work. and if the company does not extend their LOA; they are then given their COBRA.

He was was grossing >$1, 700 weekly; at the time of a near fatal car accident. His Cobra monthly premium for his Health Insurance alone, through, Blue Cross-PPO coverage (via Cobra), was approximately more than he made in one week, or $2,583 to be exact. Not enough years to retire, or draw his pension, he wound up on Medi-Care, where he still has no decent health insurance; couldn't afford his COBRA like most American's can't.

It shocks me how many working American's think COBRA will cover them. It will cover them, but at a price so UN-affordable it's mentally dehabilitating to one who is already disabled physically, and doesn't need the head-case anger over bullshit cobra insurance, only designed for execs, high level pay jobs and the people who have them.... COBRA and Obumacare, or Donaldcutcare (manicures, pedicures, hair dye, spray on suntans all covered??? Xanax for all???), it's all the same bs- again.... more deception... :dammit:
>Matts..........The American system is sure fucked up. th boulder ledge.jpg I don't know anything about the Canadian system but willing to learn.

We would also be screwed because Pelosi would retain power once again.

You completely gut Obamacare first....Repeal the whole damn thing period. My point about Cobra or Cobra like bridge is to take away the Schumer and Pelosi show or parading out all the making America sick again poster children. Because with the repeal you have to do it quick or they will find judges to intervene. You demonstrate there is a bridge and that no harm being done to anyone. Next you remove state line boundaries. You think Kaiser CA is gonna let customers walk to plans in Arizona or Nevada? Miraculously their pricing drops. Next you let small biz collectives form to achieve numbers like large corps have. Let insurance companies keep AHA incentives for healthy lifestyles in return for pre existing conditions. Reduce coverage to dependents only, children back to 22, not 26. This opens Young folks to select health care savings accounts. Also drives home the point that college is a 2 or 4 year gig, not a career.

I'd prefer to overhaul Medicare Medicaid completely and tie program into veteran care. Would also like to see means testing, entitlements only to those with measurable need.

Your SSN is both your tax and medical plan ID. You chose not to have healthcare and end up in an ER, you Still have to pay your bill either lein against your SSI or some other form of financing, etc. If done right we don't have illegals showing up anyway to drain the system.

So who gets left behind.... Unemployed. I'm fine with making corporations legally responsible for their headcount rather than burdening govt and general population for their poor hiring decisions. Corporate America is gonna get tax breaks and even more so, regulatory relief so they can maintain HC bene's for those they layoff.
>Your view is very well thought out!.

No point in repeating the mistake and rushing to reform 1/6th of our economy. Take the time to do it right.

Pols are some of the dumbest smart people on the planet. And they still get paralyzed by trying to make everyone happy. Build a cost effective and just healthcare regulation structure and people will come around eventually. But to do the Obamacare shove it down the throats of the nation doesn't work either. This is where these huge bills flail. Start with a series of small reforms that all congress agrees with and build from there.

Of course that is after the necessary repeal of the mandate.

^^^^ scary scary thought, Pelosi in any position, let alone SOTH.

Un-real, whose been sleeping for the last 8 yrs:
"Republicans enjoy a 44-seat advantage in the House and four-seat margin in the Senate, the notion of unified GOP control of Washington was always an illusion."

"Ryan told reporters after the canceled vote. “Moving from an opposition party to a governing party comes with growing pains. And well, we’re feeling those growing pains today.”

Really, that's the best a GOP dominate Congress can deliver....??

7-8 years for the GOP to get their shit together, and all we got was a GOP split rift; a POTUS who can't make a deal let alone close a deal; (not without throwing money at it)........more Congressional hot air, smoke and mirrors- ~wtf~

Trumpet:"Now, I have to tell you, it's an unbelievably complex subject," he added. "Nobody knew health care could be so complicated."

Really, ya' mean you fkng failed, couldn't close the deal....? For someone who claims to be best at everything, this sounds like Pelosiesque bullshit. Everyone knows or should have known, the UHCA is complicated beyond reason...

as for Ryan's mention of "this story is not over", I doubt any one party can pull of a fix, or HCA that's not going to fk over millions in one way or another....
The goal cannot be attained on this issue, and it's just as likely GOP members lose traction in yrs to come, as a result of the inability to put the pieces/splintered factions back together again....

Health care has been a hot costly issue for decades, and Trump's "Obamacare's going to explode" remark is mere finger pointing at an issue that's been looming long before the UHCA...

Last thing I believe in is doomsayers, but-
Long as I remember the rain been coming down.
Clouds of myst'ry pouring confusion on the ground.
Good men through the ages, trying to find the sun;
And I wonder, still I wonder, who'll stop the rain.

In time sure, why not, but do you think Trump will win a 2nd term, short of a miracle, ....? Seriously, I know his victory was just that, but a 2nd go round....?

I can't see it, yet these old eyes aren't what they used to be, lol.

It's going to take money, a whole lot of spending money, it's going to take plenty of money....
It's going to take time, a whole lot of precious time, it's going to take patience and time, to do it right...

Blame game is politics as usual, Obama was as much of an abuser on that front.

As for impeachment one of 2 things have to happen...GOP grows the balls to stand up to Trump (IE his supporters) or the DEms get a super majority in both houses. Not likely given the mid term election.

We are stuck with the Twittidiot
