Relevance is to satisfying conservative base, which he needs to come out and vote. They need to see him show the serious needed for the job. This doesn't stop here, but it's a check box on a laundry list of things where he needs to make his positions less ambiguous.
Next was working with the NRA, etc. And he'll pick things in a way to draw distinction from Hillary. He's got her on the economy, but she leads on foreign policy and the nukes. I expect we'll see him double down on his econ team but make some major announcements regarding his to team before convention.
His taxes are still a smoking gun out there as is the Trump U fraud case.

There's a faction of the
"true establishment Conservatives" who are making fools of themselves and more importantly playing a perilous game trying to sabotage Trump's candidacy/election and also alienating millions of current and election day GOP/Independant/middle class/Reagan Democrats/working class voters by openly/nationally ipso facto "campaigning" against the GOP Nominee, and in Paul's Ryan's' case, creating an atmosphere of doubt and lack of confidence by not yet endorsing the Nominee and stringing him along one press conference at a time giving the impression Trump is some kind of weak lost little student who needs tutoring.
I hope Paul Ryan gets dumped when he's up for reelection.
And then we have people like Mitt Romney and Bill Kristol who want to run a third
party candidate which will give Hillary the presidency.
These are two IMO unstable fellows.
Leads me to this conclusion:
THEY would prefer 4-8 more years of the party of bathroom police, unveted refugees from Isis territory, sanctuary cities, 1% GDP growth and 1-4 non-conservative/liberal SCOTUS appointees with a current trend 4-4 ideological split..., ect.
Another example of a well respected (lol) "true hardcore Conservative" who seems to be secretly smoking wacky weed, Hugh Hewitt.
(the days of a HARDCORE Conservative getting elected Pres are probably in the rear view mirror, imo):
Hugh Hewitt- moderator for one of the debates, talk show host, writer, worked in the Nixon administration,
I actually heard him say this from his own mouth regarding a third party 2016 run by Mitt Romney:
"I think he can win"
lol, I understand Hewitt is well educated, knows how to study and has the ability to memorize things, no doubt about it (rolling my eyes)...but can I say he's smarter than Trump?
Not a chance!
...and Rachel Maddow is a Rhodes Scholar......lmao
Anyway, those conservatives can also take issue with Rick Perry, Jan Brewer, Rudy Guliani, Newt Gingrich, ect, the NRA, The Border Patrol, ......even Jack Nicklaus amoung others.... lol
Today Jeb Bush made his latest public contribution:
Trump has a
"very powerful message",
"what I fear is that people, kind of looking down their nose, will say the people that are supporting Donald Trump are a bunch of idiots. They're not".
'round and 'round we go
