Why doesn't Trump take it on national television like Andrew Cuomo took a test on national television?

LOL...so Trump says he's taking the drug....but because everybody in the white house knows trump lies as often as he breathes and that he has no credibility, they release some supposed documentation that implies, this one time, he's not lying

what's a cynic to believe?....I mean, trump is a liar so he could be lying about this. On the other hand, he's a moron so he could actually be taking a drug that could fuck up his ugly black heart. Door number 1 or door number 2? Liar or moron? All of the above?

If his doctor lies, he loses his license to practice. I’m sure you think he’s lying too?

of for fuck sakes...quit being so god damn serious in your apparent mission to protect trump at all costs and police all remarks about him for semantic accuracy. I was making a joke about trump's credibility...and his smarts

besides that, the damn drug is an oral med. The doctor might give it to trump, but he isn't going to check his mouth afterwards like he is Nurse Ratchet and trump was McMurtry in One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest. Which is an appropriate metaphor for the current white house by the way. trump could be flushing the pill down the toilet while he's tweeting about Obama

The highly qualified White House Physician publicly made a statement he is prescribing HDQ to Trump.

...wow, just fucking wow. This is like watching a wreck in slo-mo.

Trump also claims there's a lot of front line workers and doctors that have been taking Hydroxychloroquine for months now.

Where? The memo I read didn't even come close to saying he prescribed it for him.

Have to agree with Julius. That letter does not say the doctor prescribed it. It could easily have said that, had it been true. But it doesn't say that.

I'm not sure why Trump would lie about taking it, but since he lies all the time, it's a pretty good assumption he's lying about this.

It's because he knows we're in deep shit. He's trying to buy himself time while getting the economy going again. Trying to give people hope.

I don't know if he's lying but if he is, the motive seems reasonably clear to me--he (over)extended himself in talking up hydroxychloroquine, he tends to stake his reputation to every statement he makes and will double down to "win" the issue so he'd like to hype it up further now: even the President is taking it, that's how great this stuff is.

Except it does, since the drug can only be prescribed by a physician. Now that the White House Physician would be the doctor prescribing the drug, and his public statement that “we concluded the potential benefit from treatment outweigh the risk.” It’s safe to say, he did prescribe the medicine to Trump.

But there's nothing in that memo that said he prescribed it to him anywhere.
And you know that when he comes out in 2 weeks saying he was joking or not taking it or whatever other thing he thinks to say, you'd happily point to the letter and state the opposite of what you say now. Nowhere in what you highlighted does it say prescribed or is currently taking. It says they agreed the benefits outweigh the risks on the drug. It doesn't even say that risk/reward is in regards to Trump.

Thanks captain obvious.

No one is denying that fact. What they're denying is whether or not he's actually taking it, and whether or not the doctor actually prescribed it. Most likely, he said it the way he did, and the doctor purposely didn't use the word prescription, because he actually didn't prescribe it. It's double talk at it's finest.

He's only fooling idiots.

All hate and politics aside, if the letter is genuine then why look for technicalities? Reminds me of when buds of mine would get a speeding ticket and they would declare a bunch of technicalities on the tickey.
Geez....
