Trump Refuses to accept he is least liked newly elected president in 40 years

I've said many times that respect is earned by demonstrable example and so far we've had a couple of years of talking heads making promises.....Trump has earned only disrespect from me and he could turn it around and earn my respect...I'll say that much. (not holding my breath) I think it's the team around him that will be the identity more than him...he seems to want to get people to help him and that's good, I don't think he wants to really work much...they'll do the work and he'll get the credit and compliment himself on twitter...that's my prediction.

I like the idea of trying to find some good here Riverman.

My personal opinion is that Donald Trump just wanted to win the election and didn't actually want the job. But I have to give him credit for the fact that, while he is not a political insider (so this has to be more challenging for him than it would be for a career politician), his nominees are getting through the vetting process fairly seamlessly and do seem to be legitimately interested in the jobs he's appointing them to - I'm willing to give them a chance.

This. This is what I'm talking about. The polls dont even matter because his unpopularity is so obvious, him denying it is only making him look like more of narcissistic baby. He needs to stop whining on Twitter every time someone says something about him he doesn't like. I hope once he takes the oath of office he stops with that shit. Stop focusing on Meryl Streep and focus on doung well for this country.

The polls don't matter because they're bullshit. They're skewed by butthurt pollsters in hopes of driving the agenda. And they're failing miserably because they've been exposed as the frauds they are.

I think the point Riverman is making is that, while Donald Trump and his supporters were victorious in winning the election that doesn't mean it will be a victorious presidency or a victory for the American people... that remains to be seen. But for all our sakes, I hope it's a victorious presidency for Donald Trump because then we all win and I will eat crow with relish.

He hasn't taken office yet, and all the things he's done during transition are either awesome (jobs, jobs, jobs) or expected (he won, he gets to pick his cabinet).

BTW, the Blazers have won several games including a rout of the Cleveland Cavaliers and they are expected to win more this season. Clearly no more games are needed. We should declare them World Champs and forego the next 4 seasons... who's with me?

Well, there is more. He's made clear overtures to many of his detractors. Those who meet him in person, including Obama, say good things about him. And then the PR storm marches on.

The guy is obviously a jerk at best. But he does seem to care and he does seem to want to do well for everyone.
