Sounds good. I don't vote in fear that it's wasted. I make a statement, which is my Political right. Go ahead and follow the sheep and vote for a party just because it's your party
I'll go to any good party, might leave early or get kicked out but I'll go

The blind rock. Did you know Stevie Wonder gave Daryl Dawkins his nickname?
I remember when George Bush waived at Stevie Wonder during the White House concert he did...I can't remember when I laughed so hard

He will win the election because the democrats don't have anyone that can beat him
Trumpsanity won't make the cut in the end...this is exactly like Palinsanity...the GOP has the worst lineup they've ever fielded. You'll see that bubble burst long before the elections. Trump is a pompous asshole. A vote for Trump is a vote for the lowest character in the election and an embarrasment to all intelligent Americans. Will set back civil rights a century

No one really took Sarah seriously. The GOP knew we were gonna lose the election because of Bush.

At this stage of that campaign, she was the darling of the GOP..all over the media, cover of Time, etc...sensationalized conservatism

At this stage of that campaign, she was the darling of the GOP.

Very wrong. The vast majority of Americans didn't know who the hell she was at this stage of the campaign. She didn't become known until after McCain made her his choice for vice president.

non sense. I knew who she was, talk show hosts knew who she was, the associated press knew who she was and you don't get the VP nod without the numbers in the polls. Where were you during her campaign?

Not a single serious republican felt we stood a chance in the election after the debacle of Bush. End of story...

Are same type of people going ape shit over Donald Trump for the same reasons people went ape shit for Sarah Palin being "serious Republicans" or no?

you don't get the VP nod without the numbers in the polls.

Senator John McCain began a search for a running mate to join the Republican ticket after clinching the Republican nomination. Former candidates Mitt Romney and Mike Huckabee were mentioned as possibilities, as were many other leaders in the Republican Party and the business world.[1][2][3][4][5] Over Memorial Day weekend, McCain invited Romney, Florida Governor Charlie Crist, and Louisiana Governor Bobby Jindal to his Sedona, Arizona ranch for informal get-togethers intended to assess personal chemistry for possible running mate selection.[6]

McCain then announced plans to reveal his running mate the day following the conclusion of the Democratic National Convention, and just a few days before the start of the Republican National Convention. During the running mate deliberations, McCain had favored Joe Lieberman,[7] who shared his romantic sense of righteousness and honor.[8] But the opposition from social conservatives, who objected to Lieberman's pro-choice views, was too strong,[7] and a Lieberman pick might have caused a floor fight at the upcoming convention.[8] McCain wanted someone who would shake up the race and reinforce his image as a maverick, so he decided against more conventional choices on his short list including Romney and Governor Tim Pawlenty.[7]

McCain had only talked to her a few times, and the campaign's vetting operation had mostly relied on Internet searches to check her background.[9] Palin's career in Alaska had shown maverick tendencies similar to McCain's,[9] and McCain hoped that Palin's youth, reformist record, appeal to social conservatives, and appeal to disaffected Hillary Clinton voters would outweigh her lack of national and international visibility and experience.[7]

According to the book Game Change, on the weekend before John McCain made his vice-presidential pick, McCain's advisor Arthur Culvahouse asked attorney Ted Frank to prepare a written vetting report on Sarah Palin:[10]

“ Thrown together from scratch in less than forty hours, the document highlighted her vulnerabilities: "Democrats upset at McCain's anti-Obama 'celebrity' advertisements will mock Palin as an inexperienced beauty queen whose main national exposure was a photo-spread in Vogue in February 2008. Even in campaigning for governor, she made a number of gaffes, and the Anchorage Daily News expressed concern that she often seemed 'unprepared or over her head' in a campaign run by a friend."[10]

What campaign? She wasn't running for president.
Of course we know that, she was campaigning for the GOP and was a speaker at the convention. She was all over the news in a controversial spin about her not being a truly qualified governer of Alaska. McCain wanted the women's vote..she was plastered across the media like Lindsay Lohan...she campaigned for the Republican Party and the day she was chosen as running mate, the
McCain group got 7 million from conservative women to prop up his run. She was pretty far from unknown by that time.

McCain polled her likeability to counter the dems women's vote

Just like Arnold or Jesse the body would never be governors right? Unfortunately, if Hillary is all the dems have, she won't be beating Mr trump

And that's a year away from where we are now.

And you said:

No, Palin was not in any conversation at this point in the election. You do realize we have over a year to go in this election, right?

Of course we know that, she was campaigning for the GOP and was a speaker at the convention.

You understand that the GOP convention is a year away, right?

2016 national election will be held July 18–21, 2016.
