We can facilitate the blazers forum or the whole site by making additional forums - that's not a big deal.
Hiding threads from users does seem bait & switch, and we probably shouldn't have to hide any of the public threads from anyone.
Again, the issue for me is "polluting" the "New Posts" page or "Today's posts" page with a bunch of over the top threads.
BTW, we do look at these threads with the eye toward a poster's overall activity. If these kinds of threads are all that a poster makes, it's hard to make the case he's being honorable, but rather he's bent on being destructive to everyone's enjoyment of the boards. I'm not seeing that as an issue here, but it has been an issue in other cases.
I think if you made an entire "crazy" Blazer sub-forum it will encourage the pollution of the new posts page. At least with the RTT that is restricted to just one thread. That is the perfect solution really, but Blazer fans insist on staying inside their forum so whatever.
The other solution is this sort of discussion I suppose. A questionable trend of threads is called out by another poster, and a little self-moderation is put into effect. The members that really spam, are the ones who ultimately take the biggest hit to their rep around here anyway.
