So.... how long is Mario gonna last?

He'll last a few years for a couple reasons:
  1. They are heavily invested in paying him and Manny's buyout
  2. He will sell the changing of the culture to buy time
  3. He will recruit at an elite level, giving boosters hope that they're only 2 years away
  4. He can ugly up games enough to sneak out a big win against a top program (while still losing to inferior programs).
His ability to sell his own crap is on par with Olshey.

Dude must be insanely likeable.

In the history of the 4 team playoff, can you name a P5 team that went undefeated in their conference, won the conference championship, and get left out of the playoff? I can't.

Who is left on the pac 12 that's undefeated? That's what I'm talking about. Once a pac 12 team loses (or any other conference other than the SEC) they are out..

So to answer your question that wasn't merited based on what I was mentioning, I can't think of any either.

It's odd that's what you took out of that since I said 'they have to go perfect" lol. Which your question answered itself.

Washington made the playoffs at 12-1 in 2016

Oregon made the playoffs at 12-1 in 2014

much depends on what other teams do

Interesting. I stand corrected.

Still, no pac 12 team will be going this year.

I read your comment as a one loss Oregon team is out of the conversation. If you meant if Oregon loses another game (their 2nd loss), then they are elimated, then I misunderstood.

2 losses typically means you're out of the playoffs, for sure.

Man for some reason coaches who leave Oregon go on to become garbage. If I’m a program in need of a coach I wouldn’t touch Oregon coaches anymore lol

Hopefully Dan Lanning knows this

October is probably the best sports month there is.
You get MLB playoffs and World Series
You got Blazers beginning their season.
College Football in full swing.
NFL starting to take form.
I plan my weekends around games.
Just your weekends?

WTF are the Ducks wearing? What is that? I mean what exactly are their school colors anyway?
Are you anti breast cancer awareness? Or just a trolling fan of the nutria’s
troll is going to troll but in this case he's probably more generally unaware then specifically against breast cancer.

I've watched, rewatched and over coffee this morning enjoyed the highlights of this Duck offensive show. Whats to be happiest about? Nix continuing to do his best Joey/Marcus/Justin impression? The OLine continuing to kick the crap out of the front 7 to the tune of 31 first downs? Troy Franklin is a beast. Their RB stable is deep. And hats off to Dillingham for calling an aggressive masterpiece... at times it seemed like he was trolling Chip. The needed rain was the cherry on top of it all.

Super happy that they seemed to emerge relatively healthy as well though I did see Sam Taimani helped off in the 2nd half. Lets Go Ducks!

In some photo lights, him and Olshey could be brothers. Put their pics side by side.

I don't begrudge Chip for jumping to the NFL, and Taggert actually did us a favor by leaving. OTOH, I can't help but chuckle evilly as Crisco wallows in his personally selected pit of flaming sewage!

No clue how anyone could be mad at a college coach for leaving for a HC opportunity in the NFL.

Beavs got their own Dame Time now. Kid is going to be a star.

If Dillingham moves on after this year to a HC job, it enhances Oregon's OC position in the eyes of other up and coming coordinators. Thats the way of the world for programs that are rolling.

Hope we have our eyes on a good one...

Much of being a fan is hope. It seems Lanning works well with others and people are drawn to him. Though they're well on their way to a very successful season one, Lanning and all Head Coaches know they have to network because for most staffs, openings happen. College football always has a lot of turnover, but things seem to be trending up

Does anyone know when they will announce kickoff time for the civil war? I have a super busy day and need to make some plans.

probably not till the week of the game
Last year was 3:30 if I remember correctly. I could make that work but if it's after that my rehearsal is going to have to be at a bar with a TV available. And if that happens I doubt the other half would be very stoked.
