I got a C for my semester grade in math and my mom has been giving me no independance since. I still had a 3.3 gpa and it was only my 1st semester in HS so I don't see how I did bad or anything. Now she's going through my backpack everyday over this and as an excuse everytime she just saus how my gpa isn't high enough to get into most california colleges(she looked up the avg. gpa on all the schools I have interest in). Now they said if I don't have ateast a B in Math by the end of the quarter they'll take away the computer. I would agree with this if I had a C because I was slacking but I did try a lot in Math and I just struggle in it a little.

Tough luck son. I had a 3.33 last year too but since I had no C's it looked like a pretty solid report card. Now I'm at 3.47. What math are you in?

Not me, I'm asian. My gpa 1st semester of HS was 3.1. Im graduating with a 3.5 gpa.

. The funny thing is, you don't need good grades to succeed. That's the beauty of community college. You can sleep through Highschool, then go to a juco, transfer and still do well in life.

I started senior year with a 2.992. After the first semester I had done virtually no work and my GPA was up to 3.212

I have no idea how GPA works... but my first term's average was 85%. Does anyone know what GPA that would be? Or does that not even have anything to do with it?

I have a 2.9 now in my senior year in high school. Considering I never go to any classes I think thats solid. Last term the classes I went to the most I skipped 10 times. And that was the only class I got an incomplete in........wierd.......

Skip all classes that you can, go out as much as you can, do everyhting you possibly can to have fun.

At my high school college classes count as AP, so I'm technically taking 4 APs. My GPA is 4.57 even though I've never studied in my life for anything (except for my geometry final last year). I hate this culture that values grades so much at the expense of critical thinking (see my post about education). I really don't care too much about school, it's just I don't want to get in trouble with my parents (and getting in trouble with my parents is being anything less than perfect).
