Ukrainians are holding but Russian troops are on the outskirts of Kiev. 14000 guns have been issued to civilians in Kiev. This will be a terrible bloodbath. I believe Ukrainians will fight to the death. Russians are taking heavier losses in equipment and men than the Ukrainians but they have so much more. It's reported they have only committed one third of the troops that they have surrounding Ukraine. Ukrainians are blowing up bridges to try to prevent encirclement of Kiev, but Russians are bringing temporary bridge material. They are right now bringing in more equipment and forces on trains from Belarus and it's rumored there is a large amphibious landing near Mariupol in the south. Ukraine forces stretch very thin. Ukraine president asking for blockade of Black Sea and enforcement of no fly zone over Ukraine, but very unlikely West would risk war with Russia.

I am wondering if anyone else remembers that time we tried to impeach Trump for withholding military aid for Ukraine? Aid which was considered critical for keeping Russia at bay. The reason Trump did it was widely recognized as based on direct Russian propaganda Hunter Biden conspiracy in a smear campaign against Trump political opponents. All Trump wanted was for Ukraine to make an announcement of stating an investigation prior to the election, for which he didn't even care about the results of said investigation. Republicans ate it up and claimed that the Democrats had TDS, then blocked every attempt. Posters here claimed corruption of MSM and "Big Tech". I feel its important to point out how dangerously wrong all them were on this issue, especially since they will try to use the Trump impeachments as justification to impeach Biden if they take back the House and/or Senate. It should also be pointed out, especially with Trumps recent claims of Putins "Genius" invasion plans, that all the Russian asset conspiracy theories against Trump are turning out to be legitimate. And just for some extra salt to the wound, it also looks like Hilary Clinton was correct in here assertion that Tulsi Gabbard is a Russian asset.

TLDR; Trump used Russian propaganda to deny Ukraine military aid in a direct attempt to benefit Russia's ability to invade Ukraine and try to secure his reelection.

There has been such a pile of bullshit with his presidency that its actually hard to remember it all how it was when it happened.
