I feel like there were a couple of outspoken individuals on here who were complaining about how the U.S. was going to try to take resources from Ukraine. Have they commented now that they're homeboy is saying it?

Im just pissed and sadden by the fact this fucking war has gone on for so long. At least the way I view it Putin has lost as he didn't take Kiev as expected, sure maybe Ukraine doesn't join Nato but Sweden and others have and democracy is still any his door, thats what he fears the most.

Senate Republicans confirmed Russian asset Tulsi Gabbard as Director of National Intelligence.

Seems like the U.S. is negotiating for Ukraine, and giving into whatever Russia wants

It’s kind of what happens when you lose a war someone else payed for.

It’s like when dad co-signs for junior’s car loan. When junior totally fucks off all responsibility and it’s repo time, dad is the one sitting in the bank negotiating, not junior.

No, it's more like when dad is a junkie, and is negotiating for a free fix in return for sex with his 13 year old step-daughter.

Putin has lost the war, as he was not able to take Kiev and democracy & Nato is still at his door. And still will be, once there are peace keeping troops in Ukraine.

You mean, like when you make an agreement to give up weapons that would have protected you with the understanding that another country would defend you against Russia, and then that country chooses not to defend you?

I'm certain that Trump would call that losing. But this is not a good look for the United States. It's incredibly shameful.

NATO is stronger than it was before, with the exception that Trump somehow figured out how to win again and may be as big of an opponent to NATO as Russia is.

But NATO will hold out and outlast Trump. We need to get our shit together because we have our work cut out for us to recover from that asshole.

Wildly delusional take. But, it’s to be expected. I’ve been seeing these “Ukraine is actually winning if you think about it” takes for two years now. Both sides may be back to square one as you suggested, but you left out the part about Ukraine losing way more land that they are not getting back, losing a proportionately larger portion of their fighting age men (all of them), no chance in hell of joining nato like they were promised…and are now being forced to negotiate and make all of these concessions because the country that completely funded their debacle is pulling the plug.
Yeah, big winners.

Russian Drone Damages Radiation Shield at Chernobyl, Ukraine Says

Russia’s military used a drone with a high-explosive warhead to hit the former Chernobyl nuclear power plant in Ukraine overnight, damaging the protective shelter that prevents radiation leaks, President Volodymyr Zelensky of Ukraine said on Friday.

In a post on social media, Mr. Zelensky called the damage “significant” but said that there were no signs of increased radiation at the plant, the site of the worst nuclear accident in history. Denys Shmyhal, the Ukrainian prime minister, said Friday morning that emergency crews had extinguished a fire at the site. A Kremlin spokesman denied that Russia had attacked the plant.

The structure that was damaged was designed to seal in vast quantities of radioactive isotopes from the fire and meltdown in 1986 at Chernobyl’s Reactor No. 4, and was intended to last generations.

Never said anyone was winning only that Russia has lost because pu's winning objective was to take Kiev. Has not been done and his greatest fear still exist, democracy in Ukraine and at his border still. Without taking Kiev and Ukraine, 100% loss for Putin. It's not NATO he fears most its democracy at his doorsteps.

Interested where you got this incorrect piece of information. The rest is just random conjecture with nothing to back it. NATO is and always has been the issue. You don’t have to LoVe pUtIn!!! to listen to him when he tells you exactly why he does what he does.

Just my opinion that when he decided to invade Ukraine after easily taking Crimea that his objective was to topple Zelensky, take Kiev and pint his own gov control in. Sure he doesn't like NATO being so close with especially now that Sweden & Finland are NATO members. He knows that by negotiating his way out through trump, is a loss, especially since there will be a democratic multi nation security force in Ukraine.
"Kyiv is the cradle of Slavic civilization and one of the most ancient, majestic, and beautiful cities of Europe. For good reasons, Honore de Balzac called it the Eternal City, Northern Rome. Not every European capital can be proud of such a long history and so many cultural landmarks." Huge trade routes as well.

Of course he will now say he never intended to take the whole country and replace the gov in Kiev, only just protect Donbas's and hold on to Crimea, which should have never happened under Obama and NATO.

But you do have to LoVe pUtIn!!! to take everything he says at face value and repeat it as if it was gospel.

It’s called a verbatim quote, friend. I don’t make the rules.

No idea what you are talking about. "Verbatim quote" is redundant, so I guess you are trying to say Putin really really did say something?

I know Putin says stuff. The question is why you believe the stuff he says unquestioningly.
