Yeah keep the Ducks and Beavs threads separate - I could care less about the Ducks.

They are in different conferences and have nothing to do with each other except one early season non-conference game per year.

I thought correctly that last week's Duck game was going to be big and overshadow the Beaver game. The weeks before that I did game threads with both teams. The only week I didn't do both games was the Civil War.
I'm a diehard Beavers fan and alumni but thats just going to be the reality with the Beavs in a much smaller conference with a much smaller program. I'm fine with a Beavers thread that has very little activity and all the Nike or whatever Oregon people that have nothing to do with UofO can go worship their Ducks. But we should keep the Beavs discussions separate.

What would be the issue with a general Oregon College Sports discussion thread.?
Its the same reason there are separate threads about anything here. Some people want to post about shoes or former player x or baseball or whatever and others dont want to read anything about it. Would you want the entire forum to just be one single thread?

Personally I only care about the Beavs and what the Pac12 is doing, I don't want to read about any other college teams or games, etc. If for some reason I did I can open up one of those threads.

Just got home from work and was off my phone. Was the Beaver's game tonight?

OK.....I'm here.....the festivities can begin........

UNLV is pretty good, and the Beavs loss at Nevada has me question how good we are. Would be a very nice win if the Beavs pull it off

At this rate these teams might score 100 combined points.

UNLV's defensive players were clearly better than the Beavers defensive players. For the second game in a row, some of those guys looked like they couldn't tackle my grandma. That is, if they could make the right read or could execute a proper pursuit angle. That said, and I have rarely ever said this, I blame the coach for that loss. His most egregious mistake, that I couldn't believe was happening, even while it was happening, was going for it on 4th and (17?) from their own 22 yard line, instead of punting, with 5 minutes to play, when the game was still winnable. One play later, UNLV touchdown. The decision was terrible strategy on it's face, but holy showing the entire world he has zero trust in his defense, Batman! And to top it off, the Beavers subsequently showed that they would in fact have been in position to possibly tie the game with a two point conversion had they not given up that touchdown (they did stop UNLV's next drive). I don't know if he lost the trust of his players with that move, but he definitely lost mine. I hate to say it, but Jonathan Smith would have easily won that football game.

Nah, Smith would have lost that game too given the same players. We have ZERO talent of defense. We have a few good players on offense, but nothing on defense.
