Look, I get Mixum's reasons. I am the type of guy that when I am getting near a light that has been green for a long time I say to myself "No way I make this light, it is going yellow for SURE"
Then, if I make the light I am happy. If I get stuck at the red, I just say to myself that I was smart for being right.

Your comparison is for one instance. What if for an entire cross country trip you had someone nagging with negativity the entire time?
And MIXUM, the Pacers are still doing better than the Bucks and Kings that you compared them too. 82 games is a marathon, not a sprint.

Well, yeah it is annoying. I don't drive enough to hit a thousand red lights a night. There are 3 or 4 Blazer related stories every day probably and he has to be negative about every one. You can't use that technique at random if you want it to work.
2010 blazers suck and won't win....probably right
2011 blazers suck and won't win....probably right (if no games, surely right)
2012 blazers suck and won't win....who knows?
2013 blazers suck and won't win....wait, they won the title? Sweet, glad I was wrong.

How you spend your free time is your choice, but I would rather not suffer with annoyance. To just be blindly negative about everything requires zero intelligence and is usually counterproductive.
I think with the ignore feature that it should also include hiding threads created by those on the ignore list.

I wish that were that easy but half of the threads here have references to other threads that you just can't understand without at least knowing that the other thread exists.
Reading Mixum's threads to me is what it must be like for EMT's. The first time you see somebody who suffered a horrific injury it probably causes you to lose sleep for days. After the first year or two a shotgun to the face probably has little effect on you.
It doesn't bother me but some people here sure love to argue with him.
My favorite part is that he likes to use a technique that I suspect many a wife beater uses. You know, he comes on with a logical post that makes just enough sense so some won't just dismiss him completely. The wife beater does that by beating his wife all the time, but occasionally lets her off without a beating and apologizes so she won't leave him.
On that note, watch Hoarders? I really think that violence might be the only cure for that mental illness. Yikes!

Never seen Hoarders. Just get sick of seeing silliness like the title for this thread or proclamations like the one he made before the Milwaukee game.

Well maybe you should sit down and write some code for the new improved ignore list. Maybe it will include such masterful code that it will just ignore anybody that doesn't agree with your view. The point of a message board is to communicate thoughts about common topics folks are interested in. Not to create a message board filled with people who agree.

So how is it that this *happy fun guy* known as Mixum is not considered a fucking troll? This board has gone down the toilet just due to one fucking guy. I don't mind negative posters, since most of them don't seem to try to be malicious, but Mixum has turned this place into a dump. Even after a win he goes and baits people for being positive...fuck him and fuck this board.

I think we should have truth in moderating around here. I would say that there's little evidence to support that MIXUM is either happy or fun. Pretty sure he's a guy, although I couldn't swear to it, so can't you just leave it at that when you clean up the more colorful references to him?
