For the record, the team was 20/20 at the end of this BRUTAL season ending string of games. Last I checked, 20/20 actually is pretty near 500.

listen, we are at 500 after a pretty tough stretch. I thought that stretch would be a HUGE factor in wether we make playoffs or not. so at 500 with the next 8 being mostly at home vs bad teams.... I said we need to to go at worst 5-3 to get us to 25-22 to have a real shot at 8th seed.

we cant come out of this current stretch under 500 or 1 game above it. If thats the case its over. Suns schedule is amazingly easy after their next for about 2 weeks. They will be easily 3-5 games over 500 by February.
 
For once, I agree with you MIXUM. These next few games will either set the team up for the stretch run or leave them hanging around .500. If they can't win at least 5 of these games, they have no business considering themselves a playoff contender.

I've been wondering the same thing. Didn't even see any sign of him over at the Laker playground...

But back on topic: 3-0! Another undefeated season! IT'S TEH TRUUUUUUUUUTH!!!
 
Right now, it is a 5 team dog-fight for 4 play-off spots. Still time for a team (Denver? Utah?) to fall out of the race, and somebody (Suns?) to sneak in.

The downside, is that NO, Denver, Utah, Portland, and Memphis are playing for the chance to be first round sacrificial lambs.

Only the bottom two seeds. Outside of San Antonio and the Lakers, I wouldn't say anyone else in the West is a buzzsaw.

Lately, nothing.

I don't think they've declined in talent to any great extent (Artest is worse, but he was never a big deal), and they have a history of going into cruise mode for stretches of seasons. So until they actually have a bad post-season, I'm still counting them as an elite team and on the short list of title favourites.

Nothing about them in the regular season. In the playoffs though i'd rather play anyone else, we don't have the length to contend with them in 7 games :(
 
U guys make it sound like we clinched a playoff spot. Memphis is beating okc and denver while we are beating Toronto and Detroit. We are no means locks for playoffs and now Roy had a setback.

remind me of how Portland has done with Roy this year compared to without. It would be wonderful if a miracle happened and he returned to being a productive player this year, but thats not something I'm holding out much hope on. A healthy Camby is far more important to Portland's chances

over the last 10 games Denver is 4-6 Utah is 4-6 & New Orleans is 3-7
