USA finally wins the championship to the sport they created over a 150 years ago. And they earned it too. Three elimination games back to back to back. Marcus Stroman no-hits Puerto Rico for 7 innings after his mom was harassed on Twitter by their fans.

P.S. Blazer fans on social media, please don't ever be DUMB ENOUGH to do this!

Sun Tzu would warn you not to lose the moral high ground.

So there is a World Championship and a World Series?

Yeah. When they got rid of Olympic baseball, MLB wanted to keep up international baseball for places like Cuba, Puerto Rico, and the Kingdom of the Netherlands, where keeping a national team is important. I don't think they expected it to last long, as baseball is being added to the next Olympics, but other countries like Australia and Israel also started teams as well. There are people who thinks the World Series should change it's name, since it's just a league championship. It also smacks of colonialism, at least in my mind. The US had never won the World Basic Classic before now because they really weren't interested in the competition.... which figures.
