How many players are going to pull out because of this?

Agents I've spoken to questioning if it's worth it for their clients to continue participation with Team USA. "This injury changes things."

Why? Paul George starts a 5/$90m extension next season. If this happened in the All-Star game, would agents not want their players to be All-Stars?

Kevin Love and LMA made business decisions to not play, based on risk versus reward as that applies to their contract status.

This is 100% why I think trying to rehabilitate Derrick Rose as a superstar during this week is a bad idea, though. The NBA created this, and now the blame game begins.

This injury is a game changer in the Central Division now. Firesale on Indy players probably coming up. They lost their two offensive weapons back to back. Huge setback. Wow! It's West's team now.

Whoever put that Ware video up is messed up. Man I had actually purposely never seen even a still of it and that's the video you put up. Man, some people like myself don't do good with injuries. I didn't need to see that still.

It's quite literally the most gruesome sports injury I remember, and that includes Kevin Ware in the 2013 NCAA tournament. I feel so bad for Paul George.

U must be young, the Joe Theisman injury was gruesome

In their defense they may not have known the still image when they linked it, they damn well did once they posted it though.

Indeed distasteful.

I hear that

That's obviously a lucky shot, but I'm guessing most of the players there wouldn't even attempt it because it would hurt their stats for this very big game. Does Kyrie Irving take that shot? I doubt it.
You make your own luck.

Luck is the residue of design.

Luck is what happens when preparation meets opportunity.

Or if you prefer: Shit happens. ;)

HCP, what would happen if you were working a game where something like that happened? Could you handle it or would you pass it off to someone else?

BTW, I'm not trying to be snarky, I'm seriously asking.

HCP faints at the sight of bloods... and crips.

ESPN just said Kyrie Irving was out on the court 15 minutes after the game sobbing in his dad's arms.

Is it wrong if I could imagine Dame wondering if the practice facility was open, since he didn't get a full run?

My friend was the lead audio guy on the broadcast tonight and just texted me......said you could HEAR it!!!!!!!DAMN!

I had no idea what the image showed on the still. I don't reread my own posts.

I deleted it. I'm sorry.

Been there, done that my man. I did all the replays for both the Greg and Przybilla injuries. They were bad.....I literally cued them up and slid my controller to the guy next to me! I super slow down ankle rolls on our broadcasts a lot, and that is bad enough. Just don't have the strength to handle that stuff!

I'm with HCP. I was curious to know what happened, but now I wish I could un-see that.

This is why I don't want my Blazers playing in summer tournaments. That and the fatigue factor.

I'm glad LaMarcus stayed home (again).

Apologies to anyone I insulted by posting the Ware video. I had no idea what the still looked like until I looked at it after reading the last few posts.

I will say that those who are offended by it should thin about stopping watch TV shows where people die, zombie shows in general, and movies where much worse things are shown.

This is why LA doesn't put his career on the line and play for his country. He is vindicated. On a side note, thoughts and prayers for Paul. Respect for serving your country Mr. George.

I do have a question, though. If you had seen it live, would you have been mad at the TV for showing it? Because I was watching the Louisville game in which Ware broke his leg, and CBS showed the bone through the skin. Maybe I should have whined about it on the internet.

Normally I'd kill the rookie for this, but somebody sent me a message that you are Denny's nephew, so I'm supposed to take it easy on you!

Thanks for answering. When you made your first post, I was wondering how you handled it.
