I remember the pyramid rooms being small as fuck. Cool shit though, I like when you get out the room you have a dope view from the hallway.
 
I saw this the other day. Founder's card, its like 400 bucks a year but you get Total Rewards Platinum status and can use their check-in area, VIP shit, cut lines, etc. Resort fees waived, so that's like 30 bucks a night. If I went to Vegas as much as I used to, might be worth it.

Escaping Resort Fees

I spent four nights in March at The Flamingo with a pretty good rate (under $30 per night) that I booked directly through Total Rewards a few months prior. Along with most other hotels near the center of The Strip, The Flamingo recently raised its resort fee — you’ll now be charged an extra $29 plus tax ($32.48 total) per night. Ostensibly, this is to cover internet, local phone calls and access to the fitness center, but in reality you pay regardless of whether you use those services.

Resort fees would have more than doubled the cost of my room, but FoundersCard came through. The agent I spoke with at checkout noted my Total Rewards Diamond status and simply removed the charges from my folio, saving me around $130 in the process.

I arrived at The Flamingo in the late afternoon (prime check-in time), and the general check-in line was about 50-60 people deep. I’ve seen worse, and there were a reasonable number of agents working the desk, but I’m confident the wait would have been at least 30 minutes. Contrarily, there were only a half dozen people in the Diamond check-in line, and I was on the way to my room in under 10 minutes.

Priority access extends beyond check-in, as you can use Diamond status to bypass lines at restaurants, casino cages and more. I cut another 30-minute wait in the breakfast line at one of my favorite restaurants on The Strip, and saved 5-10 minutes here and there (when my room key didn’t work, for example). All told, Diamond status spared me from about 90 minutes spent in line, and that’s over the course of just four days.

Celebration Dinner

Another nice perk is the $100 dining credit given to Diamond members annually. You can use that credit at a pretty wide selection of outlets in the Caesars empire, including some of the finer establishments like Giada and Nobu. A friend and I put my credit to good use on an 8-oz filet and a 24-oz rib-eye at Gordon Ramsay Steak.

The best are the VIP lounges for Invited Guests. They have a bunch of drinks and snacks and cakes and shit, so nice.

I am alive. Had two massive chonga margaritas so im pretty buzzed right now. Just gonna watch the game at the sports betting place in luxor. F steph curry for playing tonight. Fantasy is tonight. Heard plenty of great things about the comedian.

You get a bet down on the Blazers? In the state of Nevada you can do it by smartphone app, some places give you a free $50 credit for a first time sign up.

Nah. We got buffets, show tickets and shark reef tickets tickets through myvegas. They dont let you use freeplay on shoot to win craps game i enjoy playing.

My buddy got a $50 drink credit at ny ny through myvegas. Should be a good time.

Went to fremont last night. Apparently while i was there a shooting took place close by. Someone said the cops told her a robbery turned into murder in the parking garage of one of the hotels.

I couldnt find anything on it online, just that a shooting took place in an apartment complex nearby.

But, didnt really enjoy the vibe down there anymore. A lot of weirdos last night.

Here till friday. Redeeming the aria buffet to night through myvegas. Probably just hanging out at the pool a lot today.

My buddy, the one you met a couple months ago at the state of the union, is flying in his with wife tonight. It will be their first time in vegas. Tomorrow we are going to the spice market buffet cause we both got groupons with unlimited drinks and dinner. Probably will just be showing them some different cool stuff like the bellagio water show and other shit.

Im obsessed with that shoot to win craps game. Spent a lot of time last night at ny ny when we got back from fremont. The cocktail waitresses were way nicer and a lot faster than at the luxor.
 
Fantasy was great. We didnt get to see the show with sean cooper, the comedian. Our show had seth grabel, the magician guy. He was pretty great.

Gonna miss my connecting flight because of majors delays. They cant get me anywhere to portland until late tomorrow. They have been nothing but rude about the entire situation. They wont help with hotel accomodations, told me to call guest services which was a giant waste of time, and one of the agents told me to go fuck myself. Id expect that behavior from.spirit airlines, but ive never been treated this way by any other airline ive ever flown.

Virgin has no flights to portland from vegas, seattle, denver etc. So have to make it to san fran anyways

Why? Can you just stay in Vegas instead of taking the flight to San Fran?

Why would you take a connecting flight to/from Vegas? Doesn't that double/triple the amount of time it takes to get to and from Vegas?

I do free buffets. But I'm impatient as hell, I either want to get there or get home. I hate layovers.

I remember one time having a layover of 4 hours at LAX on the way to Cancun. Sooooo bored, it was right when you could get TV broadcasts on a Sprint flipphone, I find a plug in and start watching TV on my phone, within 10mins I have 20 people standing behind me trying to watch TV on a tiny screen. We were all sooooo bored. LAX is a really old and outdated airport. I surprised at how empty it was in the middle of the night.

speaking of which I get to fly Spirit Airlines next week for 5 hours coming back from chicago on a 6am flight for which I have to go straight to work for. yay
