Layman is by far the best prospect. Vonleh is better but still don't see him ever as regular. The rest are scrubs.

Was Batum for Vonleh + Henderson one of the worst trades in recent memory?
Whereas Henderson actually DID go, and Vonleh's a scrub. Meanwhile Batum re-signs with the team he was with.No idea. He was gone anyway and everybody in the free world knew that. What do you expect?
Wow, way to damn with faint praise. Can't we hope for Jon Leuer?Layman is gonna be a multi-year player. He can be a Kyle Singler and hang around probably.
Where are all the regular posters; are they too tired from arguing with each other the last couple days?
I actually see a bit of Jeff Green in Layman.Wow, way to damn with faint praise. Can't we hope for Jon Leuer?
Like Jeff Green if he was never considered to be a possible star early on.I actually see a bit of Jeff Green in Layman.
None of these guys are going to be Blazers. At least, not for long.Sad day to be a blazer

You know how Stream has a summer game sale?
I had a summer ban sale.
There really is no reason to be upset about summer league. Maybe you could be upset that Vonleh want a bit better and didn't show more on offense. But, it is known to be rat ball. It happens every year. It was cool to see why Neil targeted Layman in the draft. And Vonleh played tough, but I would have liked to see him find his jumper. The rest of the guys? What did you expect? There is always hope that a guy like Montero or Pat can become something, but the odds have always been pretty low in that regard.None of these guys are going to be Blazers. At least, not for long.
You're acting as if he had to trade Batum. He didn't.Olshey wanted a number one..... no team was going to give him that. If they really wanted Batum they could always have just waited a year. It was more a trade of convince than anything. You don't get premium talent unless you pay with premium talent in this league. And when your under the gyn they won't give up King's ransom. They'll wait you out. Kind of where OKC is with Westbrook.

Is it that our players are worse, or is it that our summer league coaching staff is worse? In that case there's no need to feel excited about Summer League. And therefore, there's no need to watch it. But seeing as how I have, I think I'm allowed to be pissed at how much worse our players are than so many other players (mostly younger and less experienced) than those on other teams. This is an institutional failure.
Compare with the Spurs. We have a high lottery pick (Vonleh) and we're total shit, but they have a couple of players taken at the very end of the first round and they're always good. If everybody was equally shit, then yes, I wouldn't mind. But we're shittier than most others.
(Could be worse: we could be the Kings.)

I think it's a good level to hope for out of the 47th pick.Wow, way to damn with faint praise. Can't we hope for Jon Leuer?
I think those announcers must have just woken up from a Coma. They seemed to be under the impression that we've been looking for depth at the PG spot.Jeff Layman reminds me of some other white player.
