It's nice to feel some hype after losing Lopez,Wes and LMA ,but don't get carried away guys...

I think at some point Stotts will consider starting with:

Mayers
Aminu
Crabbe
CJ \Hendo?
Dame

I don't like all the improvised stuff we're seeing from Plums right now, Aminu is a good defender on rival PFs,shoots better and we get five 3pt shooters on the floor this way.
Plums does serve a role when it comes to taking all the bumps and bruises down low though, can't underestimate that.

Offense game first half and defense game 2nd half. Don't worry about dame his shot Wasnt but good scorer find other ways to help the team win. Stotts going have difficult decision at small foward you got 3 of them playing pretty good. I see either Crabbe or Harkless moving to the 2 position. 2nd unit going look like this when Henderson come back CJ, Harkless,Crabbe, Vonleigh, Davis.

I really don't get where a lot of your guys crabbe hate comes from. Dude looked nice, I think he fits In well with the starting lineup and would love to see him start, with Cj off the bench. Crabbe is a smart guy that always seems to be in the right place

I like Crabbe, but I don't like Crab. :-)

I think the Blazers should split the minutes between the starters and the bench fairly evenly, about 28/20, except for Lillard. Play harder in less minutes.
totally agree, come at them in waves and play HARD

I read through the game thread because I wasn't able to see the game... and I spot this B.S.

......... and then he rolls an ankle. Can we just go ahead and say it already? PLEASE GO BACK TO YOUR OLD SHOES! These damn Adidas are a CURSE!

For the record, mine was just a mere observation. I have no worries as to how Dame is gonna be. It just reminded me of that Sacramento game a couple years back. lol. Not worried.

These are the days where I wished I lived in Oregon. It wasn't available in NBA tv. Sounds like it was an amazing game to watch.

I'm excited for this season but I kind of disagree. It's very easy for an NBA team to be a surprise and unexpectedly become average. But taking that step from average to contender is exponentially more difficult. This could be a very fun season but we don't have the all star prospects to have that elite positive long term future. The Roy Oden Aldridge group had ten times the long term title potential of this group and it never amounted to a single playoff series win.

This is true... I can see where you're coming from. I guess this is how I'll put it... I have the cheerleader outfit on, but the pom poms are still in the closet, and I'm just working on my routines before tryouts.

You're welcome for the visuals.

So who looked best last night? It looked like dame had an off shooting night, but dang!!! Mother went to the line like 16 times! Hahaha

It's the 2nd real fake of the year.

We're not getting 25 from crabbe every night.

simmer down, riverman!
and then again Dame will likely have few horrible shooting games like he had last night

Crabbe, Harkless, Vonleh, and Leonard all have all-star potential. If those four all develop well over the course of the season, we could have a killer starting five by season's end.

Yeah, because Spurs fans think preseason matters.

Come on, they are used to Pop giving away multiple regular season games so his vets are rested and ready for the playoffs. They could lose every preseason game and their fans wouldn't bat an eye. They know the post season is the only season that matters.

P.S. "The Spurs played without Tim Duncan, Tony Parker, Manu Ginobili, who didn't make the trip. Nor did Boris Diaw or coach Gregg Popovich."

So now Popovich is resting Popovich for the playoffs, in preseason?

The man is a GENIUS!

Loved Crabbe when we drafted him, I watched him a ton at Cal and he was doing what he did against the Warriors last night. The Crabbe I couldn't stand was the one we saw last year, tentative and timid. Never looked comfortable. Guy defends and can shoot the rock. Can't handle the rock very well. I think he might be our SG of the future.

Caught game on radio, as it was not televised in Bay Area.

Oi vey. Turned on SportsCenter this morning in hopes of visuals. First, of course, they had to show Lakers. Because. Then they showed the Blazer/GSW game. Or rather, the GSW game. Warriors highlight after Warriors highlight after Warriors highlight. I wondered if I had dreamed the radio broadcast and Warriors actually won? Oh, look! One Lillard shot.

After singing the praises of the Warriors, they finally showed the score. Gee, who won the game?

Also of note, Mark Mason said Luke Walton coached the Warriors last night...

They didn't televise bc THEY knew that the AC was going to be on! They knew that they couldn't handle THE "Cool Breeze!" NOW the world knows about King Crabbe & his gang! Love how our guys are playing/learning/correcting:party:

Had 6 rebounds in 28 minutes as well. Sounds like he was aggressive.

That's just mean!

Yep, because Pop knows the preseason is all about teaching and learning, not winning and losing.

Most coaches use preseason to give players, that won't likely be part of the rotation - unless there are injuries, some run in game situations. Like what Stotts did with Connaughton last night. It gives theses players experience running the offensive and defensive sets at game speed and it lets the coaching staff see how different players and different lineups work together in game situations.

Pops extends that learning experience to his assistant coaches. It gives them the same type of game experience and it also helps build rapport between the players and assistant coaches. They will have plenty of Pop in their ears during practice and the regular season. It's probably also a good move for an assertive guy like Pop to give the players an occasional break from him. If they hear the same messages from the rest of the staff, when Pop isn't there, as they hear from Pop, it reinforces the message and keeps the players from tuning out Pops when he gets on them.

Not at all. It's completely how I feel; I just realized that I've gone "full mags" on the potential of our guys, so I figured I'd acknowledge my homerism.
It's pretty crazy really. I am downloading the game, so I will come around soon enough. It seems much like the team in 1999, where there wasn't really a 10 rebound a game player, but the team is the best rebounding team in the league. It seems Stotts has sold the team that we come out like a team and great things will happen.

The plus-minuses were interesting in this game (and I don't think they are the endall, etc; I thought Ed Davis had a positive impact in the previous game but had a +/- of minus 12).
All the starters except McCollum were minus, between -2 and -7. ON the other side, Ed Davis was +26 and Crabbe +42!
I am also a little concerned about Damian. I have not seen many of those lobs I was hoping for and he still doesn't seem to dish off much as he drives. I understand he may need all his focus to be able to succeed driving into a crowd and last night he got the foul calls; but not sure if he will always get those calls and it seems he needs to broaden his game.
