Basically, the Warriors owner is saying "Players don't win championships, Owners do" :)

“We’ve crushed them on the basketball court, and we’re going to for years because of the way we’ve built this team,” he said. But what really set the franchise apart, he said, was the way it operated as a business. “We’re light-years ahead of probably every other team in structure, in planning, in how we’re going to go about things,” he said. “We’re going to be a handful for the rest of the NBA to deal with for a long time.”

“It’s not just Steph Curry,” said Lacob. “It’s architecting a team, a style of play, the way they all play together. It’s all extremely thought through.”
I'm pretty sure it is mostly Curry. They don't play well without him.

Saw this yesterday and just shook my head. One championship and a good stretch and they get so arrogant. He says it's not just Curry... absolute bullshit. If Curry doesn't become a transcendent star, they don't get anywhere close to the level they are now. And if he goes down with an ankle injury again, they become the 78 Blazers.

He made the hugely unpopular decisions to trade Monta for Bogut at a jersey retirement ceremony for Mullin, got booed for it and fired Mark Jackson just because he didn't see it working.

In this case, the owners brought the 'ship. They made franchise level decisions that shaped the team to the juggernaught it is today.

This was just 4 years ago, remember.

Have some class. Win with grace. No wonder we get that troll in every GSW game... from the owner down...

Winning heals everything. Wait till they start losing.

Double Draymond on the catch; attack Bogut and get him into foul trouble... the tricks are starting to add up against them.

I assume you just double Draymond with the 5, because you aren't going to leave Curry or Thompson open. Maybe with the 3, depending...

For 5 NBA championships I would destroy Canada.

Hey now... If Trump wins, I need a place to live, cause I sure as hell ain't living here.

This is my first attempt at turning a thread political.

Make threads Political again.

Canada doesn't want you.

But @HCP has a cousin in Mexico you can marry.

Start Plums, Hark, Aminu, CJ, Dame.

CJ and Dame "guard" Klay and Curry by scoring as many points as they can and keeping the +/- reasonable.

Double off Bogut, alternate Hark and Aminu on Draymond to keep him on his toes. Trap on the catch immediately.

Run pick and rolls on the offensive end early, and get Hark/Plums rolling to the hoop to keep their defense from doubling Dame/CJ.

At the end of the game, hit your fucking shots.

Utah had these jokers in their sights; they did exactly this, but they didn't have the clutch action to close out.

More than the clutch actions, Utah just missed damn free throws.

If someone beats them in a series using this tactic, perhaps Snyder deserves COY!

It's crazy how I liked the Warriors at the start of the season and how they get more despicable day by day. Now i would basically be rooting against them in every serie I can imagine, even against *gasp* Houston or Cleveland.

Wow they really are trying to copy the 72 win Bulls.

Quote come across as an arrogant prick. If he keeps talking like this they're gonna have the same success luring free agents the Bulls had once Jordan left. If players see an MVP champ can't get the admiration of management what the hell kind of chance do they have.

Krause was in the process of chasing PJax, Jordan, and Pippen out of town. He was deliberately insulting those three.

I don't know of any tension between the Warriors' FO and players.

It's probably fair to give the owner and GM some credit for success and failure. The coach obviously matters, too, as we see teams over perform.

The Blazers are a pretty good example. Olshey and Stotts seem to be on the same page. Allen hired Olshey and seems to support him as well as possible.

The vision to blow up last year's starting lineup wasn't entirely driven by LMA leaving. The choice of players, fit, chemistry, etc., is Olshey's doing ultimately.

It sure is on the players to execute. There's no denying they play well and unselfishly and win.

Krause blew up a dynasty that had just won a championship. The defending champs! For a decade following, the Bulls record was in HCP/L*kers territory. Krause expected top tier FAs to flock to the Bulls, but the players are smart, saw the MJ/Pip/pJax treatment and choose not to work with bad people.

That's how I see it.

The Ws should talk up their organization. They want to sign KD as a FA.

When Curry was out they looked rather mediocre. Without Curry they're basically what the Pacers are today.

It's interesting, but not quite the same as Jerry Krause's famous statement.

Jordan enabled Krause.

The Ws were built while Curry was suffering from bad ankles.
It's definitely not the same, but why anyone would say something even in the same postal code is bewildering/ridiculous/amusing.
