As in, of all the deals done by all the teams, did we fleece the Hornets worse than anybody else? Very possibly...I'd have to look back at a list of transactions. For us, that is. I think it was.
Every time I see Noah Vonleh I see a young Hakeem Olajuwon. So yes it was! I expect big things from him for many years!!

Vonleh might be one of the few. I'm super excited about him. Just hope he doesn't get injured.woah.
Is he untouchable?![]()

I have no idea what you're talking about,Vonleh is gonna be the new guy, where if he doesn't pan out, will be the new "Batum".. Ironically.
"Just wait... just wait."
"God, I knew he was gonna suck the whole time"
etc. etc. etc.
Some may argue that was LMA.
I have no idea what you're talking about,
He'll be the new guy where he has all the potential in the world, and if he doesn't live up to it... Batum always had "potential" but was inconsistent. Some people "saw it the whole time" that he'd be a bust.
'bout as best as I can explain it.
Polarizing may be the best word.
The Spurs signing LaMarcus Aldridge was the best deal in the NBA this summer.
Batum had a very unique skill set, athleticism, attitude, and demenor. Not all necessarily positive. I don't see any strong similarities between him and Vonleh. Could just as easily compare any of half the Blazers on our roster to Batum.
I'm not saying literally they are the same player, I'm just saying that he will be the next polarizing player. There were people who LOVED batum, and people who HATED batum. I think that is what Vonleh could become to FANS.
Sure that "could" happen. But again I think you could say the same thing about half the players on our roster.

Vonleh was a top 10 lottery pick. Nic was an end of the first round project expected to not make the team. Very different initial expectations.
Really looks like you're arguing just to argue.
The initial statement is that he is the guy who best exemplifies Batum's "so much talent, if he can just put it all together" reputation. I tend to disagree, simply because I believe he will tap into that talent and actually perform to the level most believe he can.
But I can certainly understand where Strenuus is coming from. Looking at our roster, I see Harkless as most likely to end up as that guy, especially considering what has been written about him so far. I think he will tease and tantalize us with his talent, but never quite become the starting-caliber SF we need.
I'm stoked about this kid at his age..he's on a great contract, and he's going to be a beast on the court. It's just great to see the young guys in games for a change instead of 5 guys playing huge minutes
No, YOU DON'T GET IT! You think that some people are going to hate Vonleh, bout that won't happen because he is going to be TEH BESTEST PF IN THE LEAGUE! **Personal attack deleted by moderator**I see where you're coming from with that. I don't see Harkless as that guy more than Vonleh, but I can see where you're coming from.
Oh wait, we're supposed to argue.
