Welcome to our community

Be a part of something great, join today!

For me and my kids its about the team looking better this year and with a superb recruiting class coming inn, things look good for Oregon.

Now if the Buffs would take care of them 4 logged yippers next week, that would be pie alamode baby
So, I'm a duck fan, but that being said I'm not a huge college football fan. I'm a basketball guy, it's far and away my favorite sport to play, to watch, to scrutinize and all that.
I'm excited for the future of the ducks, but after they choked that game away to Stanford I'm going to be mostly checked out except to watch them. If the ducks aren't in national championship talk, most of my 'entertainment' time will be focused on the Blazers and basketball stuff.

Huskies fans are so salty.

I mean, they weren’t relevant for so many years (after being so dominant in my early-youth). Ducks have a bad and mediocre year and the Huskies fans think the Ducks are irrelevant (and after a good couple years, Huskies think they’re back on top and Ducks buries). I think reality will set in that the Ducks are back and it’s only going to get better with the incoming recruits. I enjoy the banter between the fan bases. Makes the whole thing relevant but it really has been all Ducks for nearly two decades.

I like the Ducks, but I generally don’t care. I like to watch great games (Boise State v. Oklahoma in the 2007 Fiesta Bowl is still my favorite). Mostly have teams that I hate than teams I have strong passion for when it comes to football. But I do have home state pride and glad to see the Ducks crush the Huskies’ hopes.

Who doesn’t love the taste of salty puppy tears?

yeah, they will be dropping a lot of lawn fudge tonight in Seattle!

The the Dawgs would have won they would have moved possibly to 4/5 as 2 & 6 lost.

Ducks just found a way to be Pac 12 champs. If they would have lost that game the season was pretty pointless. But now they can play the entire season looking for a good bowl game or maybe the conference champs? They still got to win out the rest of the way.

Im so jealous that washington has Chris Petersen. His coaching is so much better than anything the ducks have. Ducks run the same stuff over and over, while washington is creative.
I understand that Cristobal wants to establish Oregon as a smashmouth football team, but he has one of the very best passers in the country on his team and the only times he let him pass were like on 3rd and 6 3rd and 8, 3rd and `14. I don't think Herbert ever had a chance to get into a rhythm. I guess Cristobal thinks he was proven right when he ran on all the plays of the winning drive (with two offensive linemen injured, no less) but I think they could have won easier with better playcalling. Without a miracle field goal miss and a very unlucky targeting call against WA, they would have lost.

The targeting calls (both were pretty bogus, not by the 'spirit of the rule, but the rule sucks...), but the one on Washington didn't lead to any points. I don't remember if the one on Oregon lead to any points or not. It was a pretty even game, both teams missed fg's, who ever lost that game would've probably gone away thinking they should've won it. It was a very competitive game. It's odd to me that Herberts been built up as a number 1 pick sort of QB, but really doesn't throw much. He's not even close to the top of any of the top 10 Heisman lists. They just don't use him as much as you'd expect for a player that's supposed to be that good. I actually don't think either browning or Herbert will be very good in the NFL, they get antsy in the pocket way to fast, herbert has the ability to toss some freaking lasers I'll give him that, he may be alright if in the right situation but time will tell. I think the jury is still kind of out on Cristobal he can apparently recruit really well, but how good of a coach he is, is yet to really be determined. I believe Petersen is one of the best coaches in all of college football, I love the way he calls games, the discipline his defenses play with, Washington will be good as long as he's there.

The targeting call against UW late in the game was more obvious than the call against the Ducks earlier. Plus, the Ducks missed a FG not long before the Huskies. Shoulda coulda woulda. They got the Dubya.

After watching Herbert, I understand why Cristobal is hesitant to throw. He should’ve had like 3 picks. I really like him, but he made some very questionable throws today.

What I just read was the reason They didn't pass as much was because they were running the ball with success and thought the D line would wear out over time. ?
When Mario saw they were dropping 8 for the last play is when he called the run up the middle knowhis guys would get the blocks and all the back had to do is run through a few arm tackles.
When you have the 3 best offensive line in he country and a coach that was one well I think Peterson got a little of his surprise call back at him.
The huskies have had an issue in the red zone scoring of late and I think it showed this game too.
Hubert hadn't faced a Defense as good as the Huskies.
If you look at the P5 probably 4 will have at least 1 0r 2 loss's.

The problem is the PAC12 has 0 quality wins out of conference. Really the best notch in their belt right now is Washington kept it close vs auburn.

What is the Huskies biggest strength on D? Their freaking nickel package. Their Dbs. It only makes sense against a D that gives up 13 points a game for Arroyo to create a game plan
that does not give them an advantage. Arroyo has done a great job so far. Each game plan has been different. As for the unlucky targeting call......they didn't even score on that drive. They also missed an easy FG.

The should never have lost to Stanford.
That hurt and the Back that fumbeled against them got the td today. Weever the better team that day, we beat ourselves.
But they bounced back after a huge loss on the road which isn't always easy to do.

I've got plenty of close ties to U of O alum and harbor no ill will other than sticking my elbow in their ribs.

One of my ambulance drivers told me a story of going to a Civil War game in Corvallis with no tickets but hoping to score some at the gate. So he goes to a popular tavern in Corvallis, the Peacock, which used to be a dive old man's tavern back in the 60s, but is now a very upscale and popular young person's tavern. He and his buddy had on all their U of O clothing. They had a drawing for two very nice seats. Yep, you guessed it, he won the seats. He got a lot of boos and people telling him he'd better leave. I would have given him a good natured boo along with a smile and then would have scolded those who appeared angry as soon as I saw their anger.
Peacock is still a dive. Kids just love going there.

College football is not boring. It's the best sporting event in the world. The tailgating is so fucking awesome. I keep my season tickets year in and year out to the Beavs and we suck. Just going to the game, hanging out, bbq'in, drinking, walking to the stadium drunk, sobering up during the game, eating dinner, then heading home.. nothing like it. Soooooo much more fun than going to a blazer game.

Wait, you have season tickets and have never invited me.

NOW I REALLY HATE CATS!

Plenty of pussy.

So basically, everything except the sport is fun.

The sport is fun too. The entire experience is amazing.

Did you attend a university in a power conference? Or one with a cult following ala Boise State?

I might be wrong, but I’m pretty sure I saw a large placard of three Blazers as part of the Ducks’ play calling on their sideline late in OT.

I’m not joking, BTW.
