I know....it was just the way the tweet was worded that caught my attention:I mean, we see these trades frequently in the NBA. If you ignore age and contract status then yes, a lot of trades can look odd.
This might not be Blazer-related, but looking at someone that might make a desperation move at the deadline, I wonder if the Rockets, who are losing to the Clippers right now, could be a team that would make a deal.
That team was supposed to be looking to challenge the Thunder along with the Nuggets heading into the season, but its sixth in the West right now, being chased by Phoenix and Golden State. With Durant, they're looking to win now.
I wonder if they'd try to make a move of Jrue (if he comes back healthy) centered around a return of either Jabari Smith or Eason.
5 weeks till the trade deadline and a tsunami of bullshit tweet rumors are already flowing
a whole bunch of clowns wanting to pretend they have connections will be making shit up and the idiot stenographers will amplify the speculation
Amazed how quickly we want to trade young guys when they show any signs of struggling. Several of our guys are being asked to play out of their normal role. Examples
1. Deni and Sharpe are being asked to not only bring the ball up but also be distributors (in long run this is good for both guys. They are also being doubled way more lately because teams know the others aren’t beating them (this is also great for them)
2. Tou is supposed to be a 3 and D guy but even he is being asked to be a facilitator and play more of an offensive role when he should be catching open 3 point shots
We have no pg and only 3-4 regular rotation players playing on any given night. Most nights we have end of our bench playing 20+ minutes a game. No team in league can withstand that over a long period of time. Nothing against these guys but they are end of bench players for a reason.
My advice enjoy the ride, watch as Denis game flourishes, and Sharpes shooting continues to improve. With maybe one of the best draft classes since 84’ wouldn’t be the worse thing to get into the lottery mix while still developing some of the young guys.
Might have to involve six teams, because I can't see the Grizz, Hawks and Hornets being super-enthused at getting another wacky deeply-flawed lead guard.
Except no one would want any of emI think the League should require a single massive trade that moves Trae Young, Ja Morant and LaMelo Ball all in one go.
Zion in a change of scenery could save his career.
Im rolling with the Deni and Zion duo with Clingan patrolling the paint.
Do it Joe!

Today's rumor mill said the Celtics are interested in Duop Reath. Trading him for draft capital would be a good move and open a spot for Cissoko or Love.
They can easily park them with the Remix to finish the season with a promise of a roster spot next season. We have Scoot and Jrue coming back as well as Grant and Thybulle. A lot depends on if any of the vets get traded. What now has to be factored in are the two way contracts. What do you do with them? What are the ceilings of Caleb Love and Cidy?
Cidy seems the prototypical utility player. Could he become a role player in the mold of a less talented Josh Hart?
Caleb Love can shoot from long and get to the rim and isn’t afraid to at least try on defense.
And Blake Wesley? Maybe. They can easily park them with the Remix to finish the season with a promise of a roster spot next season. We have Scoot and Jrue coming back as well as Matisse, Grant and Thybulle. A lot depends on if any of the vets get traded.
Wesley may not make it back this season....CJ had the same foot injury and was out a year once as a rookie and also in college. And Blake Wesley? Maybe.
Matisse and Thybulle is pretty funny. They can easily park them with the Remix to finish the season with a promise of a roster spot next season. We have Scoot and Jrue coming back as well as Matisse, Grant and Thybulle. A lot depends on if any of the vets get traded.
