It very well might make us worse - but that's different than tanking. Deni, Camara, Sharpe and Clingan have been our 4 best players. If Kuminga blows up it might be a more lateral move. I'm not saying we should start CJ Elleby for 20 games like Cronins first season.
The main advantage to the Blazers with those moves is 2-3 years from now. I'm more interested in maximizing that roster than a move or standing pat to get a couple extra wins this season.
I'm still hoping the Blazers win every game this year - I'd just prefer we build the roster primarily to peak the following two seasons.
