Way too early trade suggestions (1 Viewer)

That’s all we ever seem to do is stand pat and talk about getting younger. Seems like we’re never really ready to make that big move.
What big move did Oklahoma City make after getting SGA?
What big move did Denver make?
What big move did Boston make?
What big move did Milwaukee make?

Sure, I like the idea of having Love and Grant come off the bench as conscienceless gunners
What exactly does Love need to demonstrate he is much more than a conscienceless gunner? His passing has been special. His defense is promising. Yes, he can score in multiple ways, but the guy has the tools and the strength to be a really complete player, and is showing it as a rookie.

Fair enough. I want really saying that's  all he is/does; simply that that is, in fact, his role in this team, though it is developing in complexity

Denver traded for Aaron Gordon, who was a huge part of that team. Milwaukee traded for Jrue. Yes, both teams had their stars, but both moves pushed them over the top

I remember back then when Aaron Gordon was on the magic Portland was rumored to get him. We didn’t want him probably because of his contract.

I’m all in for Kuminga for Grant and whatever pieces it’s needs to get it done. Kuminga is better offensive player off the bench. Watching Grant mop the floor over and over (meaning fall every drive and lose the ball) was tough watch. I understand it might be a one year rental but Grant is only going to get worse

How is kuminga a better offensive option?

Portland should be targeting Markkanen. He’s the best option for the Blazers out there right now.
Has a massive supermax contract and sucks at D. I don't see how you can have a winning team with him and Dame. It will be hard enough just to integrate Dames crappy D on the team next year. Markanen would basically be DameCJ 2.0 except one of them is a big. Or Dame+MeyersLeonard 2.0 if you like that comparison better.

Also who are we benching? Deni + Camara for two years have been our best players. Makes zero sense to add someone at their positions.

Ainge also is going to demand a haul of picks.

Just can't see any way it would be a good idea at all for the Blazers to target Markenan.

Yeah, I can't get past his contract. I like his game, but not at 50 million per. And as you said, he would not start.
As a matter of fact, not many realistic trade options would start for the Blazers. Which I guess is a big positive.

Deni, Tou, Shae, and DC are a pretty good young nucleus. Not sure about PG right now, but we certainly have enough options when healthy.
So I guess, as many of you have mentioned, we need an athletic backup center that can defend and get to the long rebounds. Or a backup forward who can flat-out shoot.

Any ideas?

Goga, however...i could get down with him as a DC backup

There was a report last week that the Celtics are interested in bringing Rob back. They're currently 2nd in the East. The have a huge TPE and are already in the luxury tax. Maybe it's woth their first in this year's draft to get him.

They would have to waive someone like Boucher but they could take Rob without sending us anyone back.

We would then need another trade that would bring us a young healthy switchable big. Hopefully us sending out two players and getting back just one.

Grant is the best back up forward who can flat out shoot in the NBA.

Fuck Bridges. If Milwaukee wants their picks back, give US Giannis. I’d rather trade Scoot but we should consider trading Shaedon. Giannis is one of the best players ever and we open up minutes for Caleb Love.

When was the last time Giannis was healthy most of the regular season and playoffs. I swear it was two years before Dame went there so that's like 4 years. Guys don't get less injured when they approach their mid 30s.

I'd be worried Gianna will look like Paul George in a few years.

Super happy to have those picks.

Would need to be an elite young player in their 20s for me to consider giving those up that we could pair with our core. But I'm very happy to just let this roster play out.

Fuckers with their "Breaking" on Twitter. You ain't woj and never will be. stfu
