OK, in my never ending attempt to get Naz Reid, since can't figure a way to send Jrue, I will send them two young PGs! This also clears a space to sign Cissoko.

Since Giannis is not likely I look around league for a player that would be available and someone that could impact our team enough to warrant the move... I don't see a lot. There is one that might fit depending on your viewpoint that I am on the fence on but I'm curious on the pro and cons of Michael Porter Jr. And if you are pro what would it take to get him and what would you be willing to give up?

AD or Ja are apparently on the move. AD would be good for us but he's too delicate

I'd rather have MPJ than Grant but I'm not giving up a pick so I don't see why Nets would be interested.

Maybe if their still high on Yang throw him in or such.

Im ready for Jrue and Jerami to go.
I've been ready for Jerami to go since before we gave him that contract.

Jrue I like fine but we have too many PG next year and he might have minor value elsewhere.

I'd give them up for shorter contracts but I'm not giving up picks to dump them. I suspect both stay Blazers, although Jrue seems more likely to be traded just in that he has more value throughout the league.

So Wolves get the best player.

We get the 2nd and 3rd best players.

The Bucks are happy getting a bunch of garbage?
I think the idea being that we give the Wolves a bunch of draft capital but then we're all left asking why the Wolves get the best player without having the draft assets to make the whole thing work.

If we have to give up both swaps and somehow that, the players and the dozen second rounders the Wolves have make the deal work with the Bucks, then so I'll be good with that. I think both swaps and the best of the three 2029 picks for Naz and Jaden would be a little bit of an overpay but those two guys make our roster a lot better.

Jrue definitely seems to have fallen off a cliff.
To me he seems to be a little distracted and it's kind of like we're forcing him and Shaedon and Jerami all to be the first option at the same time when Jrue and Jerami should be third options and Shaedon should be a second option guy until he proves that he's actually best fit for a third option guy. but that's not for sure and wouldn't be for a little while.

I think Jrue has trade value but not a ton and Jerami probably has slightly negative trade value... like it would take a second rounder to trade him for expirings. I think we could get expiring contracts back for Jrue or with either guy add consideralble draft assets to make a splash.

"Of course we have to add picks and swaps" Maybe MN adds a pick. It's just a basic framework.
Yeah I don't think one pick, swaps and garbage players is close to enough for Milwaukee. They at least need a Scoot or Sharpe and likely more. But then it makes no sense from our end. The Wolves just don't have enough assets for a 3 team deal.

Yeah Milwaukee gets shitty value, and the Wolves get great value. I don't like ours but its at least reasonable value. However I'd rather just get Giannis directly if that's all the Bucks sell him for. The Wolves just don't have enough assets.

All these teams that gave up all of their picks in prior trades (NY, MIN, LAL, LAC, PHX) just shouldn't be listed as any possible Giannis destinations as they don't have the assets.

The most likely team for us to help get Giannis is the Warriors but we've already discussed that you don't like what we'd be getting back from them. So I won't rehash that.

good thing about all these big players going is now maybe the Blazers can find a team that is desperate but Cronin for the love of god do NOT do something stupid.

I hate tanking but I might be open to it ONE more and LAST time if a good deal is not made cause Jrue for sure wants out even if he has not come out and said it ( his play has told me this / suggested it ). Then you have Grant who did show he has something left in the tank but he might fit with a team where he does not have to be a fall back number 2 or 3 option and he can be the 4th option maybe 6th man on a playoff team.

I don't think tanking would be very successful this season. I don't think the teams that owe their picks are good enough to win enough to get to our current wins and the teams that own their pick or in the Bucks case owe a swap to another terrible team, those guys will continue to lose and try to lose.

So I don't think we're outtanking the bottom 9 so we might as well keep trying to win this season. Hopefully we'll get lucky like the past two number one picking teams.

I would be shocked if we didn't at least make another Vit level marginal move but at this point I'd also be shocked if we landed an all star or superstar.

There is a lot of space in between Vit and an all star so there are a lot of different kinds of moves I'm anticipating could happen in the next 23 hours.

I'm expecting we send a 2nd rounder out with a contract or send Kris to the Kings or such.

Or maybe nothing and we just cut guys on the roster for Love/Sidy spots.

Seems like we always are hoping/thinking a move should be happening with Cronin and then there is nothing. The Blazers normally do all of their annual trades 2 days prior to the draft. Outside of Dame transactions that is.

Rumor has it Harden not happy going to Cleveland. How about a swap Holiday for harden. Works cash wise and gives Cleveland big guard to go with Mitchell for defense. One year left on Harden contract salary dump for us and a shooter. Defense cannot be any worse than it is now for our team. Next year player option for harden and he would probably like a west coast destination

Those are parody accounts. Harden had a no trade clause and waived it to go to Cleveland. Lol

This thread is an example of why lumping threads together is great. All our wacky trade ideas are in ONE thread instead of every wacky trade idea having it's own thread.
