Just because Portland picks Scoot does not mean he won’t be traded after the selection.

Still predicting trade, although not as confident with these offers

I know I've given you some shit MM...sorry for that

but the reason I've disputed your confidence that the pick would be traded is because I was convinced the offers would be shit. The value of draft picks has never been lower after the Gobert, Mitchell, and Durant trades. For chrissakes, the Celtic just got 2 first's, and Porvingis for Smart. Blazers have the 3rd pick, which should have high value, but teams, IMO, were NEVER going to offer enough for Portland to move off that pick because the gauge is recent trades, and that gauge fucks Portland's value

maybe, if Dame asks out, that will work in Portland's favor, but I doubt it

I'm shocked how low the value seems to be for draft picks...

it's a classic case of recency bias. It's "I told you so bullshit" but I've been saying for weeks that the 3rd pick was NOT going to have the same historical value in trades....meaning the Blazers should not trade the pick because the historical talent value hasn't changed

Now the Blazers need to do the "and keep him" part. :)

Naw, don't worry about it. You were right.

I thought the 2nd pick would have good value, and I thought that would drop Miller to us. I actually thought Dame would be cool with that.

Not sure how this works out...

Imagine getting invited to the green room and your name never called
They should invite an actor to be a player that never gets drafted, just so the last real player in the green room doesn't feel so bad.
