No it's obvious/understandable the organization is being tight lipped RN.

Sure but Dame isn't. He has given multiple interviews. He has commented on the direction of the team. He could have come out and said that he was cool with Scoot or Miller but he didn't. We have no evidence that he has changed his mind.

you find it...you seem more interested if confirming it than I am

He hasn't since the workouts started.

I'd like it. I'd probably do Ant and pick for OG and Nurk/Little for Ayton. Bring Miller off the bench.

Dame
Shae
OG
Grant
Ayton

BU: Miller, Thybulle
Something like that would be interesting

You could also continue to build out the roster over the next 2 seasons or so with MLE - type guys to solidify the bench unit

I wanted Miller to start for developmental reasons but if you can land OG that would be great for POA defense

I'm not a huge Ayton fan, but if people are sold on him, having 2 players on rookie contracts definitely makes eating that contract more plausible

I was giving you some shit becasue I don't care about it anymore. I'm not going to get back on that dumb-ass merry-go-round with you Nate. You are way too invested in that absolutist narrative, what it means, and way too combative about it. I don't want to be part of that food fight anymore

did you even see what Propogandist said in the Dame time thread?

No disrespect to him, but I'm not taking the word of a random dude on this forum.

And gifs are fucking hilarious. They're not combative.

Are we going to forget that the West goes through Denver and The Joker?

Bam was absolutely dominated. Jokic was toying around with Bam Bam and still put up historically good numbers.

Meh.

He also said that before we landed the 3rd pick. There's nuance being ignored.
Windhorst (lol) did say he re-confirmed today (or yesterday) with Damian's "camp" or some BS that is still how he feels.

Now, who Windhorst's sauces are ... and if it's accurate ... could be disputed of course

Lol. It's not dumb. What would be dumb is making a win now move when we don't have a win now roster after any trade scenario.

We'd be the dumbest team in the league if we trade it for Markannen or Porzingas or Siakim. I'd like to actually see a chance 5 years from now to compete when dame is past his prime. We aren't winning with any trade this year so we would be fucking dumb to do it.

It's very freeing when you don't get wrapped up in every possibility and remember it's a franchise that'll be here a decade from now. It's fine that we may not win with Dame because of situations. But I ain't mortgaging the future because we feel we "have to win now". No trade out there is worth the #3 pick. So save your future anger because of your faulty expectations.
We have a far better chance of competing within 5 years with Dame than without him.

I don’t see anyone who’s going to be able to match up with Jokic, anyway. That being said, I personally wouldn’t trade Sharpe straight up for Bam.

This has been the narrative of a few people around here and the #1 case for trading Dame.

Short of Giannis or Embiid requesting a trade, there is pretty much no plausible way we can compete with the upper tier of the west.

Of course, the counter is that injuries can happen to any team and given Murray and specifically Porter Jr.'s health, as well as Durant's, there certainly could be an opening to compete in any given year.

I didn't care about the gif, one way or the other. I was talking about your position on those couple of Dame quotes you've focused on and repeated, almost obsessively, across a dozen threads. We argued about it before and said everything there is to say.

and I know you won't take the word of a "random dude" because that word is the opposite of what you choose to believe is true. And yeah, I mentioned it because it aligned with what I choose to believe. We all ride the 'tell-me-what-I-want-to-hear' bullet train

And yet.... the topic keeps coming up, and I'm not the one starting it. If people are going to discuss what Dame said, misquote what he said, or deny what he said..... I'm going to be there to set the record straight. I get it. It's annoying to have something concrete repeatedly used to thwart the hopium that people are pumping around here.

I talked to a guy who knows a bus driver who frequently gives rides to the son of a psychic that told him that Dame is going to request a trade if we use the pick.

All of this talk of these top players coming in has made me realize how many games so many players miss. OG, George, John Collins, Ingram, Zion…

There was an argument made a while back that these guys are putting too many miles on their bodies because of AAU and year round competitive basketball. It seems to support that because injuries seem to be so prevalent these days.

This is why Dame says he just wants a team he can compete with. He wants a team that can be in the running for HCA.

Once you have that you have a punchers chance. We can get that for Dame.

I'm going to be there to set the record straight.

lol...c'mon man...grandiose much?...there's no "record" to set straight. just a bunch of clowns yammering about the meaning of a couple of isolated quotes from weeks ago from a public figure who has dozens and dozens of quotes

It's annoying to have something concrete repeatedly used to thwart the hopium that people are pumping around here.

there are two types of concrete, and only two types: cracked and gonna crack. I can play the metaphor game too

I get it...sarcasm about anonymous people on the internet. Thing is he was pretty specific about where he was getting it and I have no reason to conclude he's a liar

Dame did all of that. Most NBA guys played AAU and year round basketball. Guys have longer careers and are more productive later in their careers than any time in the history of the NBA.

There have always been injuries.
