The real question about this Yankee organization is............
Why does Cashman et.al. have yearly difficulty in developing home grown talent.
It is apparent they cannot develop talent unlike other organizations. When did
Yankees last develop a power hitting OF with a strong arm? a power hitting C?
a skilled 3B? a NO.1 or 2 starting pitcher who can go 7/8 or CG?
And yet this organization charges $2,675.00 for a premium box seat
for one game!
I would bet my life that Yankee management is rated in the lower
echelon of team's baseball developmental programs.
I've mentioned this a few times. The Yankee farm system is not rated very well at all. In fairness I do appreciate nearly two decades where they made the playoffs pretty much every year. That being said more often than not this organization has written checks as opposed to finding a developing young talent.
