Exercise, try and stay around 50 grams of carbs a day (work your way to that goal). Eat to stay fit, Stay fit to eat.

I picked these up at Costco last night and they are pretty good. Not going keto or anything though.

This thread is to talk about weight loss and help support each other in that goal.

I turned 43 in January. I have an amazing 2 week summer vacation planned and decided it’s time to actually get back on a program and hopefully not look like a fat American slob in Europe. Also, you know, get those HDLs up and flush out some of that arterial plaque.

1 month in and it feels great. I am down about 12 pounds, all of it fat, per biocomposition testing. Maybe plateauing a bit already. My goal is to lose 30-40 more pounds by June. I even, stupidly, agreed to do Hood To Coast. So, that will keep me on track. If you all read about some nerd who lived in his mom’s basement that thought he could go from 270 pounds to HTC in 6 months and died on the race, don’t weep for me. Just know I loved you all, and you should probably throw one of my top posts up on the Jumbotron at half time. Good luck finding that post.

If others are interested we could set up Fitbit challenges etc. for extra motivation.
I am down 25 lbs. from 230 lbs. to 205 lbs. in the last 6 months.

I need to start losing this gut. I gained some weight during Covid and have yet to lose it. Need to get in shape. Need to burn this fat and put on some lean muscle.

I'm down 1/2 lb.

It's a start!

I'm down 13 lbs. Another 12 to go by the time we go to Denver next month for a wedding. Kind of did a modified Optavia, which has been working.

That all said, we're getting Hello Fresh 3 times a week. Love the recipes and products they send!

I am down 17 pounds since June 1st. Mainly running and stopped snacking and eating breakfast. Seldom eat out, except the last couple weeks traveling. Hoping to loose 20 more before the end of the year.
Congrats on your progress man! Keep up the good work!

Good job! I had a little birthday party setback last evening. May have gained a lb. back. Although, I'm going to semi-weekly weigh-ins.

Walking three miles a day now. I'm convinced that walking is the best all-around, convenient exercise one can do.
If you combine that with yoga...you'll stay in good shape. I've been doing that for decades. Walking is actually better than running.... especially power walking where you have some uphill stretches on your walk. I do about 4miles a day plus Tai Chi and Yoga ..if you really want to lose weight don't eat in the evening at all.

Yoga is of the devil, dude. ;)
