So i'm gonna go ahead and say what i think should be the starters and the rotation. Disclaimer!!!! I am not an NBA coach. I probably don't know shit!
I was watching and thinking the Blazers have a couple problems with the starting unit against GS. I think it's Kanter and Aminu on the floor together.
I'm thinking it might be worth a try to play bigger with Kanter and Collins on the floor to start.
Then start using Meyers with Aminu with the second unit.
Staying bigger and making Kerr have to play Loony and Bogut/Jerebko.
Counter the small ball with big balls.... So to speak.
Yes i understand they will have some ball handling advantage. But the Blazers might be able to set better screens for Dame and keep a big out to force Curry to shoot contested threes instead of wide open ones?
Also maybe get a few lob passes to bigger guys at the rim? Layman might be an adjustment also?
The point is to make them play bigger. Slows the game down a bit? Plays into the Blazers hands?
