what are your 3 favorite video/computer games?

Civilization IV, whatever the latest Madden I have is. That's about the extent. Though if it has a "GM Mode", I seem to like it. So I've been gifted NCAA football and NBA 2K in the past.

All-time? Ultima 5 and 7, the original Final Fantasy, Civ 3. Never really got into FPS games.

its hard to rank "favorite" since so many games are great. So I'll just post games that changed gaming for me. Goldeneye, Metal Gear Solid, Morrowind (then was SEVERELY outdone by Oblivion), Final Fantasy 7, Mario 64, The Halo Series, The Modern Warfares

Yeah they are rather similar, but DotA/HoN have specific characters (about 60) that always have the same skills. So you know what to expect out of this one or that one, generally. The subtly comes from item choices and skill order.

that's the same with league of legends.

I also play the Halo games with my kids, but they like them MUCH more than I do. I'm not a big Halo fan. There isnt much strategty involved IMO... its too chaotic.
