Yeah so in about 2 years I plan on applying to colleges. Currently my top 2 are UOI and Georgia Tech. What college do you guys want to go to/goto already?

I want to go to OSU, but if i getinto a better college i cant go there.Wanting to be an enginer i want to go to MIT, Georgia Tech, or SDMSU

North Carolina all the way. No other school i would want to go to. The cons for me is that it has a 37% acceptance rate, and high act scores. Plus it would be an out of state college.

This thread really only applies to like 20% of BBW members lol. There are a lot of people 13-16 that have no idea.

I really want to go to ASU. I've been a Sun Devil fan since birth and I heard the partying is good there. :happy0144: If my grades are good enough to go to another college I might choose another, but I'm planning on getting a scholorship for ASU.

I'm currenty going to school there, they have one of the top 3 Criminal Justice programs in the country. The Secret Service and FBI train where I go to school. I turned down state schools because they didn't have as reputable a program.

I'm almost positive i will be going to a school in or near boston. I have it down to Boston University, Providence College, Northeastern, and a few others.

Arizona. Im gonna be a Wildcat. If I dont go there I want to go to UCDavis!

My biggest is Arizona. I want to mostly get out of California and I love Arizona. I saw the campus and loved it and I loved the look of the school. Also we have had a lot of family that attended UA and my great grandmothers uncle's family sold land to UA so we kind of have a history at that school. Also the fact that they have one of the best college basketball systems and coaches there is helps lol. Some of the other schools I have interest in are Cal Poly San Luis Obispo, Texas, Sand Diego State, ASU, or UC Davis. HAHA I'd also like UCLA if I was smart enough or gifted enough athleticly. BTW ArizonaFan do you really think your good enough for a scholarship or is that just one of your unlikely dreams like me wanting to play for UA lol. Nice to see though your a big UA fan streetshox. I think we might be the only two here lol

You guys are listing off some big colleges...I have a hard time believing most of you are going to these big/expensive state schools.

Only graduating seniors, people already in college, and possibly juniors really have a firm grip on where they're going to go. All the others don't have too much idea, because they don't know the expenses, SATs, what their parents want, etc. Quite a few are just listing off big NCAA tournament schools.

You can get a scholorship here with a 3.5 GPA and an Exceeds Expectations on AIMS, and you can take AIMS more than 5 times until you get it. streetshox and iversonfan... :no1:Oh an iversonfan, Emilio(Downtown), the guy I got on this site, he liked both UA and ASU. He went to UA but after like 1 semester he transferred to ASU because he didn't like it at all. Tucson is boring man. Everything happens in Tempe/Phoenix/Scottsdale.

here in Texas, you automatically have a spot in any college in the state if you graduate in the top 10% of your class. Of course you have to get accepted first but yeah...

I don't know what you mean by you have to get accepted. Public Texas colleges have to accept you if you're top 10%. Anyway, I didn't get in by top 10%... A&M automatically accepts those with a 1300+ on the SAT (when it was 1600 points total instead of 2400) and in the top 50%. Top 10% is good for some people, but not good overall for Texas.

I have looked at expense rates and grades etc. at all schools and all I listed are pretty much affordable. Also UA it takes a 2.5 gpa for out of state which I easily get. I also have volunteered in stuff for the town and I am active in things for school such as athletics and clubs. I normally get a 3.5 or higher for my gpa so all the schools I listed are pretty reasonable for me exept maybe Davis. I actually have put a lot of research in colleges even if I am young. BTW ArizonaFan I don't really care what your friend thinks. People have different views and personalities and mine is I'm not a big partier. I don't want to go to some big party school I want to go somewhere to learn not party.

Hopefully, Georgetown..probably a local college like that.

im going to Cal - State Fullerton... It is right by my house. And Bruce bowen went there.. so that is cool

Also I have a 3.9 gpa and am in mostly honors classes so I have definetly looked into it.

Well, i really want to go to UT Austin but im not sure if my grades are good enough. It sucks because my school is one of the top schools in Texas so it makes me look bad. I have a 3.8 and im not even in the top 25 percent.<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE (jordan4pres. @ Jul 7 2006, 07:30 PM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}></div><div class='quotemain'>im going to Cal - State Fullerton... I had a 4.0 GPA (out of 5.0) and barely missed being in the top 25% of my class (my class did have like 750 people though, no joke). Don't worry though... the colleges also look at how competitive your high school was, so as long as you keep your GPA about where it is, you should get in.By the way, just out of curiousity, which high school do you go to?
