Draft picks are liquid assets. They are more valuable than injury prone vets, especially for rebuilding teams like ours.Marang said the Blazers aren't interested in draft capital. They want players.
Why would I waste time doing something like that? There are dozens of wings who could help us more than Brogdon can. I said if they are available we should get one.Can you name the right player?

We can try to flip 2024 picks for future picks if we wanted. Or we can combine them wither other picks we own to target the player we want. How are these guys so shortsighted.

If we can't make a deal that brings a wing as good or better than Brogdon we should trade him for the best pick we can get.
We also have Jeremy Grant we can trade.
The possibilities are endless.
Link? Did he say anything else?
Great! We have draft capital and alot of young players already.
So. What players would be a worthy return for Malcom that is realistic?
If we cant name anyone realistically, then keeping him is the best thing to do for now.
Can you name the right player?
hard != smartyou sure are working really hard to convince people standing pat is the best idea
I don't care. It's a waste of time that I don't really engage in. That's why you don't see me posting in the trade machine threads, etc.If there are dozens that are realistically getable, you should be able to name a few at least... nice copout. lol.

Either is fine. If a player who plays a front court position is available, by all means, go get him. I was responding to the premise about 2024 draft picks.Who says it has to be limited to an older player or picks? I would prefer to see multiple assets used to acquire a younger player with 4-5 years experience at a position of need and other guys to balance salary. Brogdon, Williams and the Warriors pick should be tempting. Cut the fucking timeline.

Brogdon needs to be traded as the value he has now is that any acquiring team can get him for 2 playoffs, whereas if he is traded this summer teams are only getting him for one playoff. So I would think his value would be higher now.
Nope. I haven't posted any doom or gloom. Yet was called out as "copping out" when I refused to engage in... whatever it is you're doing.or am I simply pushing back on those working so hard to fill the forum with doom and gloom if we don’t trade him?
hmmmm…. Cause that has been going on for weeks. I’ve been going “hard” for a day.

Doom or gloom had nothing to do with it.
I went through this exercise a couple of weeks ago to identify teams I thought needed a starting PG. I say starting because I doubt anyone will give us a 1st for their backup needs. Certainly not a young wing prospect.
Miami was one of them but that was before they traded for Rozier. The Lakers...... fuck them. Suns have nothing to offer.
That leaves GS, New Orleans, and Brooklyn IMO. That is about it. Not a whole lot of options.
Hmm.You are gonna be livin' in the meltdown thread soon. I predict it. narrow views often result in disappointment. you put zero value in veteran leadership in a position we are grooming our future youth for. Some could say that is extremely shortsighted.
Nope. I've never said anything like that about Joe.Then he does things and its... why did he do that??? wtf is he thinking?
Fans can be so unrealistic sometimes its comical.
Except you weren't told that. You were told that there are dozens of wings who would help us more than Brogdon. Then you were told "IF" they are available we should trade for them. You were also told we have a lot of other assets that could be packaged.Huh? I was told there are countless ways to improve and literally dozens of guys we could trade him for. What gives????
Hmm.
I wonder what your previous moniker was.

Nice straw man, though!

Not sure I see the point of having multiple accounts and hiding behind new names when you post the exact same way as you used to.Thats all you got? LMAO!
Lol. Nice cop out.Did I quote you?
Agree 100%You didn't watch the Ant interview, did you? Coaches are coaches and yes can be mentors, but they are not on the court. I think if you look back in history, most good to great players had someone in their young days on the court they were able to learn from. Brogdon has stated publicly he wants to and is helping Scoot watching film, explaining things, etc.
This is such an undervalued commodity by some...
People acting as if if Trade Malcom, we are going to be contenders and if not we will wallow in the lottery for every or something. He will have value in the summer or at next trade deadline. In danger of walking AFTER that, but we have a year to trade him. Not 5 days....The mentorship, in my opinion, could very well be more valuable then the perceived diminished return we would get by keeping him one more year.
We have a 24 yr old guard. We have a 21 year old guard. We have a 19 year old guard. The toughest mental position in the game. Malcom offsets that youth with experience and consistency and I find that valuable.
I'm fine trading him if the return is great, but if not, I do not see the point. To get a first and another young prospect? We have enough young prospects.
Lol. I didn't call you anything. I said you used a straw man argument.Wings & guys. and IF they are available in response to name a realistic get.
And you call me a strawman.. more weak sauce.
