What is Collins' trade value?

You know if we trade him it would come back to bite us. He would probably emerge as a great third or fourth scorer somewhere else. I could foresee him as a 10 to 14 point per game player for us if the "future coach" gives him a chance. He said he wants to bulk up but for sure in these playoffs he certainly manned up. When he shot and missed, it was close. If had honed his craft, felt comfortable beyond rookie status and performed in mid season, we would have had an even better player for the playoffs. He is a value and we should not include him in any package.
I want Neil's job.

I hope to God he's more than a 3rd or 4th scorer

I laugh when someones value in his first year is defense and they ask if hes valuable at #10 and only show offensive stats.

This is how fake news happens.

Well, he has to emerge from rookie status. The talent he has can certainly propel him in game minutes. He has good upside.

You left out that he was 23rd among rookies in MPG. That may help explain why he wasn't top 10 in any per game stats. You also ignored all advanced defensive stats. He wasn't even expected to play much as a rookie, but earned a larger and larger role, due to his defense, as the season progressed. He wasn't expected to carry a large scoring load, like guys starting and playing big minutes on lottery teams. Just looking at raw per game stats, especially on the offensive end, does not tell the whole story.

If you look at the following advanced stats, combined with his age and slow start, and it starts to become more obvious (to most) why he was taken 10th and why it was a solid choice.

Among rookies:

DRtg 8th (T)
DWS 15th (T)
DBPM 10th
TRB/MP 7th
BLK/MP 5th(T)

BNM

BNM droppin knowledge... droppin knowledge... BNM droppin knowledge...droppin knowledge.

This should be Dames next recording project.
