So, I've been wondering what C.J.'s perceived trade value is. Just how much do you think we could get back in a trade for him? Are deals like these too much in return for CJ or is this what his value is?

I think we're going to need to trade him at some point, and hope that we're able to get a borderline top 5 pick. If we got the 6th and 12th picks from one of these deals we could possible trade them up to 3 and land Doncic, Bagley, or Porter... That'd be the start of something.

So here's some deals. Which ones do you think accurately reflect CJ's trade value? Which one's would you pursue? Which ones would have a chance at happening?

Honestly trade Cj dame and Nurk

Fuck it do a full clean rebuild
Nurkic is 23 and can be part of a rebuild.
Lillard's leadership would be extremely valuable, and you can't trade away him. He's still 27, and hopefully a McCollum trade would get good enough young players that could have a KAT/Porzingis type of quick impact and we could be competitive by the time he's 30. If not, maybe explore trading him down the road, but not now.

I wonder what a trade with both Nurk AND CJ would bring back? Could we get a team to offer up enough for both?

Somebody mentioned CJ for Aaron Gordon a few days back (BGD?) and most people made fun of him and mocked him.

I'd do this trade in a fucking heartbeat, if the Magic would go for it.

Eh... I've watched several Magic games and I haven't been all that impressed with him.

Suppose New Orleans thinks they might lose Boogie as a FA. Would you do Boogie (currently easily a top 10 player in the league) for those two? It's a risk, because he could leave for nothing, but he's by far the best player in that trade. (And he re-signed in SACRAMENTO ferchristsakes.)

Think backwards: what teams could really use CJ?

Cleveland? (do they have any other team's pick? Because they've got no player I want)
Philly? (they have a nice assortment)
NY? (tempted by Ntilikina, but would need more)
I would've said Milwaukee, but not since the Bledsoe trade.
Orlando don't need him - Fournier's putting up better numbers.
Memphis?
I can see him fitting in with San Antonio, to be honest, and I wouldn't mind that. If they'd give us back Kyle Anderson, I would probably be pretty content.

Why would they, though?

Bud, I respect your opinion, but I do think you are focusing on the wrong guy. Nothing wrong with CJ or the big guy....I would shop Dame

I'm on the side of you don't trade CJ...

However, for the sake of conversation...

I like Dario Saric (+?) from Philly.

I think short of the obvious top guys (Lebron, Curry, Harden, etc) you can pretty much get anybody you want for Cj

Where we fucked up at since ya wanna trade Cj so bad is we should have traded him for Cousins

Sac would have done that easy. They got basically nothing for him

I worked out a trade scenario where we can trade nurk for boogie without losing CJ. Forgot what thread its in though.

Okay.. why did I quote him twice? Didnt know thats even possible??^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^

Yeah, did you work it out with dell demps

Nope. Lillard can defend and still be helpful offensively when his shot isn't falling. He's also the leader and face of the franchise. It'd be ridiculous to trade Dame over McCollum.

No, don't trust him to stay, and it wouldn't make us contenders, so it'd accomplish nothing.
