He's a pussy when it comes to intimidation? The majority of the time, he successfully intimidates his target. So there's a direct contradiction.

One thing is for sure, no one will ever mistake Garnett's "intensity" with Jordan's intensity. Jordan was a fierce competitor . . . Garnett is a punk. :D
 
4. KG taunts the opponent frequently after a play. I personally see very little difference between the KG "Cat" move and Mutumbo waving his finger or Oden hanging on the rim. With the exception that the last two were correctly called technical fouls, and KG's was not.

Well talk to Stern because they outlawed Mutumbo's finger wag until they agreed he could only do it toward the stands and not at players.
 
KG throws a lot of his elbows on the way back to the huddle/when play has stopped. A lot different than putting a hard foul on a guy.

They're cheap shots, and calling it anything else is just stupid.

I didnt say he wasnt successful at it! Of course he is (minus Peeler) because it is against substantially smaller players!

Taunting can lead to altercations and fighting which makes the NBA look bad. It's not hard to figure out.

I want to go back to your comment about this team hanging with any team from the 80s. Boston had a pretty good team back in the 80s (Bird, McHale, Parrish). In fact, the battles between the Bird Celtics and the "Showtime" Lakers was some of the best basketball I've ever seen. We were really spoiled back then with two teams that were so good and so closely matched that they traded championships back and forth. It was awesome! When Magic and Bird retired it almost felt like a funeral for the NBA and I don't know what would've happened to the league if Michael Jordan hadn't come along.

If anything, the altercations get the NBA increased publicity. It certainly didn't hurt in the 80s, when the NBA was at its peak in popularity.
