His overall numbers last year were close to his career averages. Projected out to 36 min, his FGA rate was up to 13.1 compared to a career av. of 12.1, which isn't indicative of some major switch in his style of play. Last year Steve Nash's FGA rate was up to 13.5 shots per 36 over his career av. of 12.5... is he still playing like a PG?

Miller is the best option running the Blazer point since PIP, though thats not really saying much. Without being an outside threat he's obviously not the perfect fit beside Brandon, but the team was very effective with that pair in the 2nd half of the season. He's obviously not the longterm solution but he's smart, capable and extremely durable. Reports are he's in tremendous shape going into the season... if he's the weakest starting link I like the team's chances.

Brandon missed a few of the games where Miller put up 15+ shots. Besides, as a PG SHOULD do, I think a lot of Miller's shots was recognizing what the team needed at the moment, and giving his best effort to do just that. We would struggle on offense at times, and if that is happening, I want a PG out there who will try to do what the team needs. Whether it's a bucket for himself or others. A stand outside type guy like Blake can't do that.

Yeah, what a stoopid player, single-handedly winning that game on the road for the short-handed Blazers. He only shot 0.710 FG%, 1.000 3FG% and 0.875 FT%. He shouldn't have been such a ballhog scoring all those points on high percentage uncontested shots and should have focused more on getting the ball to Juwan Howard (1-3), Martell Webster (1-3), Nicolas Batum (0-2), Rudy Fernandez (0-3) and Jeff Pendergraph (1-3). But no, he just wanted to pad his own stats and WIN THE FUCKING GAME! He was clearly abusing both Kidd and Barea and could get to the rim with ease on a Dallas team with no shot blocking presence in the paint. Other than his one 3-point attempt it was bascially a lay-up drill for Miller all night long. He recognized this and took advantage of it to help his team win the game. Sounds like a smart thing for a PG to do to me.

Are you saying that calling someone PapaG is "name calling?" That's a pretty big stretch, and not one I'm about to enforce as a mod. Zags made the comment about PapaG because Miller was always a favorite target of that particular poster. He didn't personally attack Bgrantfan or PapaG (if they are two different people), so I don't see what your gripe is. He simply made an observation. He didn't even call PapaG a troll. I don't know what who you are or what you're talking about, but barfo used that rationale (with direct quote) to censor a harmless post of mine two days ago.
