Yes because we are all worried about how the next owner won't be anywhere near as good as Paul.

Not like Canzano who is saying the next owner will be definitely better and that his passing is good for the city. Takes a special kind of person to think this way.
He's looking at it from a different angle. Separate yourself a bit, and he's not entirely wrong

Don't tell me you like that sack of monkey shit.
He's a columnist, not a reporter. His job is to express his opinions. He is very polarizing in Portland, which means he probably is decent at his job. If you look up the awards hed won, you wouldn't be able to disagree with that statement.....like him or not

Is there going to be a press conference about Paul Allen and the direction of the franchise?

Well I definitely wouldn't call him a journalist. That's for sure. He's as far away removed from Thomas Boswell or T.J. Simmers as you could fucking get. But, maybe mediocrity sees nothing above itself, so in that case, Canzano sees all.

How did this thread become about Clownzano? He's entitled to write his opinions, no matter how unsupported by anything other than his opinion they may be.

We're now 24 pages into a thread discussing what's going to happen to the Blazers now that Paul Allen is gone. We have absolutely no idea what provisions he may have made for the handling of the transfer of ownership after his death, but given his love for the team and his knowledge of how serious his health situation was, I have a hard time believing that there isn't a plan in place and wheels in motion to execute it. Given how much commitment he made to keeping the Blazers in Portland when it would have been so much to his personal advantage to have them in Seattle while he was alive, I have an equally hard time thinking that he didn't have that consideration covered as well. I guess we're just going to have to wait and see how things pan out in the next few weeks.

I am guessing that Silver will address the league's current position on the Portland ownership situation along with somebody representing the team. Probably within the next couple of days. It really doesn't make any sense why they wouldn't. It's a hot stove issue at the current time.

Agree.
However, the ownership rules of the NFL prohibited him from moving the Blazers to Seattle even if he wanted to. It was never an option for PA.

Probably. But I'm guessing they want to give his passing a little more time than 30 hours before bringing up the Blazers and Seahawks.

Is it really a hot stove issue or are there just a few people freaking out about something that isn't going to happen?

The press is probably going to try to make it one even if it isn't. He'll get asked about it at some point.
