That Duke trio was interesting to say the least, being the modern day Fab 5. They even had a fourth frosh PG who no one can remember... Zion and his all-world strength and skill, but so many questions about durability. Barret who I absolutely hated as a prospect. Good measurables but nothing else promising. And Reddish who showed flashes of being a hybrid Cedric Ceballos-Robert Horry type, a do-it-all guy who never quite seemed to do it consistently.
I liked Cam's potential back then, but I can't say I'm terribly surprised how his career has gone. I'm still moderately hopeful that his Atlanta chapter was like Rasheed in Washington, being buried behind other guys like Juwan Howard (hey, another Fab 5 tie-in!), but the disastrous NY stopover makes me less confident about that. Even if you buy the Thibs' doghouse explanation, Cam should have had the career-revitalization sense of urgency to play better when he was off the leash.
