You don't know what any of those stats portray? But I thought you knew it all...Yes, but only if you can explain what they mean

What a take.I took the time to rethink it, maybe Aminu isn't That bad. I mean, he's the same type of player as Demarre Carrol in some ways, both are not very skilled or talented. Demarre Carrol is a poor man's Draymond and Aminu is a poor man's Demarre Carrol. You can even take it one step further and say Draymond is a poor man's Lebron. So actually, Aminu is a poor poor poor poor man's Lebron. So maybe he isn't that bad

I think the rotation should basically be -Dame, CJ, Harkless, Aminu, Nurkic, Baldwin, Curry, Zach and everyone else gets “filler” minutes to see if they can prove they deserve more minutes. I’m willing to see what’s Stauskus, Trent, Simons, and Swannigan and I guess Layman have but they have their work cut out for them to get into the rotation. Meyers, no hate here but I’ve seen enough, I think he needs new scenery.OK, here it is. Yes to Aminu but as a SF, so we wouldn't have to endure watching him with Turner on the floor, instead let them both play SF.
Aminu/Turner/Layman
Harkless would play small ball 4.

Yeah, I often try so hard to forget ET that I finally succeeded!Completely agree.
You forgot ET though. Can we throw him in with Meyers in the "no hate here but I’ve seen enough, I think he needs new scenery" category?
He can't shoot though.I would be open to signing Corey Brewer to a small deal.

Charlotte Hornets Receive: PF/C Meyers Leonard, SG/SF Evan Turner (two years, $36.5 million).
Memphis Grizzlies Receive: SG/SF Nicolas Batum (three years, $76.7 million)
Portland Trail Blazers Receive: SF/PF Chandler Parsons (two years, $49.2 million
Really? Not me. I think Meyers can possibly used as "filler" to make salaries work in a desirable trade.Sign me up.

Also, no matter how much I hate Turner (and it's A LOT) - or any of you hate Meyers (also A LOT) - at least he isn't Chandler Parsons! I mean - it's Chandler Fucking Parsons!!!
Batum has a 3rd year left on his contract, no way.I'd rather just take Nic back. What the heck would we want Chandler Parsons for?

good points. The question becomes next summer what is easier to move: one big contract like Parsons or the "smaller" contracts of Turner and Leonard?
Edit: It also cuts over $4.3 million off our cap number this year and opens up a roster spot.
I'd rather take on Batum and then trade for Johnson to stagger those big contracts that will expire in 2021.https://bleacherreport.com/articles/2790742-how-nba-teams-can-trade-leagues-worst-contracts

The salary savings is the only aspect of the trade that offers us anything - and it doesn't even offer us (the fans, the team) anything...it just saves Paul a few mil.Edit: It also cuts over $4.3 million off our cap number this year and opens up a roster spot.

The extra roster spot is, IMO, not worth anything - we have enough mediocre players that either need playing time but won't get it, or don't deserve playing time but will have it handed to them.
Turner? Sure! I really don't care about Meyers. He's a wasted $10M, but he seems to be a good guy who doesn't pout when he's glued to the end of the bench. Of course I'd be happier to scrub that $10M off our cap, but whatevs. You're kidding right?
So if Turner and Butters were off of the team that wouldn't make you ELATED?

But we're not just dumping Turner - we'd be getting back CHANDLER FUCKING PARSONS. Just say his name - it should be enough to make your skin crawl.
I also think that a $10M and a $17M contract gives you more flexibility than a $24M (or whatever) contract.
It doesn't make it crawl more than butters. Sorry.
Turner is a net negative and Parsons is now 100%.
He's a much better fit than either of them.
And a 24 million expiring contract is easily worth more.
Yes, but he still out produced Turner when he was on the court. Are you sure he is 100%? All i know is know is his stats last year sucked. I thought it was stil post injury recovery. If he is 100% and the numbers he put up last year are there, i would even be more concerned.
Wasnt parsons a net negative last year also?

Kent Bazemore Makes a Tempting Trade Target for the Trail Blazers
Atlanta might be willing to part with the relatively expensive, but attractive, swingman. Could Portland make a relevant offer?
Not a fan. Bazemore is more of a 2 guard and I'm just not willing to give up our first to dump turner. I'd rather save it for a potential deadline deal that could make more of an impact.https://www.blazersedge.com/2018/8/...anta-hawks-portland-trail-blazers-evan-turner
