He's a better shooter than you give him credit for, he's an excellent slasher/finisher, he's a good rebounder, he IS in fact a good (even if not great) and versatile defensive player, and as @KingSpeed loves to point out, he always seems to step up in the playoffs. No doubt he has weaknesses, but to simply say he's not a good basketball player seems very myopic to me.

You and @BonesJones insist he's a good player. But every time he touches the ball I cringe. He has less skills than me, which isn't saying much, but I'll go as far as saying even you are probably not this untalented in basketball. But you guys insist he's a good player. There were times I didn't watch the games but it didn't take me more than one game to see Aminu is a sorry excuse for a basketball player. So I'm asking you, Bones Jones specifically, cause he loves giving me a hard time, what his excuse for liking this bullshit.
And what's the entire fan base excuse, actually.

But you know what, excuses is what you're giving me. He's a better shooter than I give him credit for (every time he makes a shot is, I admit, somewhat miraculous), he can guard 4 positions (and the other team's coach), what you're not giving me is something to respect your basketball opinion by, like the truth

What an idiotic statement.

I give you a hard time because of the BS you say, and the arrogant, condescending manner in which you post. Many people have their moments, but it's their entire disposition.

Nobody cares if you respect their opinions, because nobody respects yours. You'll "respect" my opinion only if I agree with you.

What am I giving excuses for? He's a great defender that guards 4 positions well... What is that excuses? That's pointing out a skill that you're blind to. He's an above average shooter, who's somewhat streaky. Advanced stats back up those narratives, and I can state them for you.

Meanwhile, you just give bullshit conjecture such as "He has less skill than me" and "he's a sorry excuse for a player"... that's just trollish crap that has no meaning. "It's miraculous when he hits a shot", yet he shot a higher percentage than Dame, so is it miraculous when he hit a 3 too?

You're so unaware of how silly you sound, that it kinda makes me feel bad.

Exactly my point: You give me a hard time instead of something to respect you by. If you see Aminu as a starting forward for your team you can spend your entire time telling me I'm full of shit when in fact *edited*

So making up crap shows more knowledge than someone presenting actual stats and facts?

Are you saying your opinion, which is broad, cliche statements with no stats to back it up, isn't conjecture? That's part of the reason you catch so much flack.

The other reason is you give statements along the lines of "If you see things differently than me, then your basketball understanding is disappointing". That's arrogant and condescending.

I would appreciate it if you not attempt to impugn other people's basketball understanding. That's not a commentary on a post, but on a poster personally, and is therefore not in keeping with the site rules.

Thank you.

I'm not making up crap. Saying Aminu has less skills than most posters here is a fact, if you think Aminu is a talented basketball player what stats can support this?

I'm sorry, I have no problelm with you. but this @BonesJones dude always tries to make me look like I'm just saying stuff, inaccurately thinking I know more basketball than some people here and this is just the perfect example.
How a majority of the posters in this forum think Aminu is a good player is beyond me. The one person speaking the truth is a lonely place to be so I can seem condescending but i'm actually really am disappointed by your views

You have no clue how good even the worst NBA players are. You've never played against high level players, or else you'd know better (most people don't even need that experience to realize how good NBA players are). You're trying to state your opinion (conjecture) as fact. You do know the difference between opinion and fact, right?

Once again, you keep saying Aminu sucks but provide no data to back up that claim yet others are the dumb ones?
Why do you need any data if you can just watch him for not an entire game, for 5 minutes
You guys are addicted to data aren't you. trust your eyes

1. I can't believe I'm even responding to this garbage.
2. You look up the stats.
3. The bold type is not an example of an effective argument. It's silly. Stop.
4. Advice: be aware that strong opinions get strong responses. You essentially seem like you're trying to pick fights.

The fact that you don't realize that you bring it upon yourself is headscratching.

If you're so knowledgeable about basketball how come your posts never reflect that? For example, try backing up your Aminu claims using stats.

No, you are trying to pick fights. i'm looking for the one poster here that would agree with me that Aminu isn't someone he wants starting for his team and I can't find none

His stats are not the issue I have with him, his stats are ok because he plays way too many minutes. Give Thomas Robinson his minutes and he gives you 14 and 14, compare this with Aminu's numbers are realize he's not even nearly as good as Thomas Robinson

Honestly, man, this seems like something form SNL or something. Are you just kidding us?

Quit dazzling us with your basketball knowledge! Thomas Robinson! Lol!

I love this T-Rob talk. You've got me actually laughing. Do you know where T-Rob last played? BC Khimki. Where in the fuck?

Maybe in his dimension Thomas Robinson is the gold standard for which all other players are compared to.

Like comparing David Hasselhoff in America to what Germans think of him.
